This wonderful scenic cruise is another gem that I refer to family and friends and people wondering where to take their dates or when despondent locals want to know what there is to do in this town! I recommend taking whichever cruise will correspond to sunset, which will be their last of the day and fluctuates based on seasons, of course, and it is very romantic. Everyone aboard, passengers and crew, were in a wonderful mood, waving to other passing boaters from the top deck of the ship, which offers plentiful seating. The narration is informative and I understand that they encounter dolphins on a regular basis, which occurred twice on my cruise. We spotted the family groups in the warm waters of the bay. The cruise departs from the city dock, passes under the historic bridge of lions (currently being renovated and perhaps looking more interesting because of that) and travels around Anastasia Island to the Lighthouse, and back past the city dock again to the bridge at 312. The cruise lasts a little more than an hour. Bring the digital camera as there will be many unique views. There is a snack bar aboard that serves sodas, beer, wine, and small food items but I was too busy sightseeing to remember any thirst. It is available, however. I told people in town about this cruise for days, (especially because they offer half off ticket price, usually 15.00, for locals). Really, though, for those visiting from out of town, it's worth the price. As a local, at the discounted rate, I am only tempted to hop aboard again when I realize it is almost time for the last cruise of the day.
