Sayaka Japanese Restaurant

The biggest disapointment at this restaurant was the service, closely followed up by the quality of the food. We were treated poorly by the bartender and the owner/manager. The food quality was well below average, however, the price was still at premium quality. We saw many other customers that were equally unahppy for similar complaints; mainly poor service and below standard entres. I would certainly advise anyone to seek out other japanese restaurants for a more enjoyable experience. Pros: ambience Cons: service, food, and value more

Been to different sushi restaurants and I thought this was average. The food was great but nothing spectacular about it. Place was a little bit dirty when we came on a saturday night but they did have fast service. If you want something casual and last minute plan, this is the place to go. If you have ever been to Benihana's this is what Sayaka is like but about 1,000 time better. The food is better, the staff is extremely freindly, and the chefs are fun. It is great for either sushi or teppan. They also have a dining area as well! There are 3 sushi bars and 10 grills to sit at and it is still packed on the weekends which goes to show just how good it is! I recommend making reservations and going it is definitely worth it. The prices are a bit higher than and average restaurant but you get a ton of food! With a meal at the grill you receive soup, salad, fried/steamed rice, vegetables, shrimp, and your entre which can be chicken, steak, lobster, or even vegetarian just to name a few. With all the seafood on offer at Sayaka, the briny depths should be a quirt, empty, and still place. Standards such as salmon mix with such esoterica as urchin eggs to keep one's platter full and one's chopticks busy. There is an atmosphere of fun and bonhommie in the dark Japanese-inn decor as one places an order, squid, roe, and snapper indicated. A veritable assembly line of cleaver and intentions quickly and effciently sends out a platter of delicate but sizable sushi constructions Akihito himself would not dimiss. Ample reserves of ginger and respect-demanding wasabi accompany them on the excursion to your place at the sishi bar.
