I wish I could give less than 1 star. My experience was similar to ajhende's. A couple showed up in an unmarked SUV, and the repairman said his van had been in the shop a month (I found another review on another site from Jan 2010 that stated their van was broken down...hmmm). I got a bad feeling right off, but because my warranty company sent them, I allowed them to continue. I think this guy saw a woman and figured he could get away with telling me whatever. He said the problem was not my water heater, but the excessive water pressure (when I asked why we had such low pressure, they claimed the valve was bad, but then HOW can the pressure be so high that the water heater is over-pressurized and leaking?) and that the main PRV to the house needed to be replaced (not covered by warranty and he priced @ $350). I said I couldn't possibly pay that. He said that once the water pressure went over 75 psi the PRV could not be set and had to be replaced (later we looked and the tag clearly stated the max for the prv was 400 psi... granted if we got 400 psi, the rest of the house would be toast, but the prv is rated to that anyway, LOL). He contradicted himself and told me my husband could NOT get a pressure regulator valve from work, which he could and did, and that we could get a cheap valve at the store to replace the one we had that he also claimed was cheap... he claimed that the one he would provide would be superior. I wish I had seen the earlier review, because I could have saved myself $60 for nothing. I called the warranty company and filed a complaint, and made sure that this company is not to be dispatched back out to me for any reason.
