Jack C. \r \r GE recommended this company although GE misdiagnosed the problem. \r SAXTON found out what was actually wrong and fixed it in short order. \r When I had another issue with this GE water heater (I'll never get GE again) SAXTON\r was the one that i called. No regrets.\r Down to earth, knowledgeable and honest people. Thanks!\r more

I was connected to Saxton Residential through my home warranty. They were in and out of the house in under an hour. Most importantly, I have hot water again! Would recommend to others and will keep their information for future use. Thanks! more

Please understand we try to do everything to please our customers. However in our line of business we have to go by certain codes as licensed plumbers. It is very hard to get some of our customers to understand this is our number one goal is the customers safety. Please feel free to call our office if you have any questions and receive a 10% discount for giving a chance to provide with top quality work from a licensed and insured plumbing company. more

Don't ever let this company come into your home. GE sent them to look at a fautly water heater that is less than a year old and still under warranty. They will go out of there way to find things that are not covered by warranty. They stated our water heater wasn't installed properly and had many code violations. This info was a concern for me, so we called an indepentdent certified, liscensed, plumber(one with good ratings) and they found that most of the info Saxton citied for code violation was either false information or code that applies to new construction. Our house is 30 years old. Our previous water heater lasted 7 years no problem and was installed the same way. This water heaters pilot would not relight, so Saxton came out to look at it and relit the pilot before leaving. The next day our water heater caught fire. Luckily we were home and have smoke alarms. Saxton knew the unit had a bad PVR but didn't replace it. Saxton claims nothing they did could have possibly caused a fire. There was visible burn damage and melting to the outside of the unit from the inside out. Now the unit not only has a faulty part but is damaged and needs replacing. Saxton tried to tell me on the phone they could repair the burn damage. This man and woman duo are as rude as they come. They will bully you and the man even threatened me. He threatened to call the state on me and have my house condemened because of my water heater-my reply was his threats won't work on me and to go ahead-and he replied I would care when I got kicked out of my home. Saxton called the person whom installed my unit a quote ""knucklehead""- whom happens to be liscensed and certified to install fuel tanks and of whom is an engineer. I could write a lot more on how rude and unprofessional this duo is. GE will not be sending them back to my home. After this incident I read other reviews of this company and most of them are identical to my situation with specifics. Please do your research before you use this company. more

Scammers. I have a faulty new water heater that another authorized plumber had inspected and deemed it needed replacement. The manufacturer scheduled the replacement through Saxton. When Saxton came out, 2 hours later than promised, the man and woman who came wanted to blame the venting and existing plumbing, and started talking about how much extra we would have to pay. I was at work, so these two felt they could intimidate my wife. I was on the phone with her as they began arguing with her. When the tone became elevated, she asked them to leave the home, which they did. My wife was in fear for her safety, and I had to leave work early to return home to make sure they had left. more

Worst Ever! 3/17/2012

I wish I had read these reviews before this company came to my home. My warranty company sent them for an urgent leak in my garbage disposal. I called 3x's: the day before and the day of, to request that they come as early as possible. An hour and half later I was told he had not reached ANY customers that morning because ""he was filling out paperwork"" and could not come any sooner. When he came to the house he claimed that he HAD NOT ordered the part listed on the form my warranty company sent him ""because customers just ask for random parts and don't know what they really need"". We were told that consequently we would have to deal with the leak through the weekend because it was not a part he had in stock. We suggested he get the part from the local hardware store to which he fussed and complained- took him an hour to get it and return. More complaining. Once he installed the new disposal we thought it was over. But alas, a few days later a pipe that he did not screw on fully, came loose and water went all over the kitchen floor and down to the basement, pouring down the wall through the floor and on to the tv. I checked and they are NOT BBB accredited. Save yourself the headache and get your service needs met elsewhere!!! more

SCAM ARTISTS 6/6/2011

I wish I could give these jokesters less than 1 star! They are running a SCAM. Do not hesitate to call your warranty company and ask that they send someone else. They tried to pull the same stunt on me that everyone is complaining about. They were not willing to come out and fixed the problem that was covered by the warranty - they tried to tell me that it was another issue that was going to cost me $400 EVEN before they came. But after reading these reviews, I realized what they were up to and requested another contractor. more

GREAT WORK 4/23/2011

Saxton has been doing work for us for several years, I found them threw our home warranty we used to have. They instaled our water heater and they have done the maintence on it for several years the unit has always worked great with no problems. They have taken good care of all our plumbing. Several of my friends have also used them and the have nothing but nice things to say about this company, they are very honest and resonable priced. I woul recomened them to everyone I know.GREAT SERVICE more

stay away- bad experience 8/29/2010

I wish I could give less than 1 star. My experience was similar to ajhende's. A couple showed up in an unmarked SUV, and the repairman said his van had been in the shop a month (I found another review on another site from Jan 2010 that stated their van was broken down...hmmm). I got a bad feeling right off, but because my warranty company sent them, I allowed them to continue. I think this guy saw a woman and figured he could get away with telling me whatever. He said the problem was not my water heater, but the excessive water pressure (when I asked why we had such low pressure, they claimed the valve was bad, but then HOW can the pressure be so high that the water heater is over-pressurized and leaking?) and that the main PRV to the house needed to be replaced (not covered by warranty and he priced @ $350). I said I couldn't possibly pay that. He said that once the water pressure went over 75 psi the PRV could not be set and had to be replaced (later we looked and the tag clearly stated the max for the prv was 400 psi... granted if we got 400 psi, the rest of the house would be toast, but the prv is rated to that anyway, LOL). He contradicted himself and told me my husband could NOT get a pressure regulator valve from work, which he could and did, and that we could get a cheap valve at the store to replace the one we had that he also claimed was cheap... he claimed that the one he would provide would be superior. I wish I had seen the earlier review, because I could have saved myself $60 for nothing. I called the warranty company and filed a complaint, and made sure that this company is not to be dispatched back out to me for any reason. more

Stay away - rude and incompetent 3/29/2010

Stay away - they are unprofessional and incompetent. The worst part is that if they come for a home warranty call, they then manipulate the problems to report to the warranty company that the issues are not covered. Then the homeowner has to spend time explaining to the warranty company the unprofessionalism and incompetence of Saxton Residential, and convincing the home warranty company to send someone else to look at the problem (which they understandably do not want to do.) My advice is that if the home warranty company tries to send out Saxton Residential, politely refuse service and request another contractor. Cons: Contractor argued with me, lied to my face more
