Savannah Day Spa

I have been going to Sav Day Spa for waxing and other salon needs for a while now and I love it. After trying several salons in the area I prefer this one. I am a regular of Donnas and she does a fantastic job. Everyone is so sweet and attentive. I was actually recommended to Donna by my roommate and now all 3 of us go to her! What an experience!!!! Savannah Day Spa is fantastic! I had some cucumber water and chocolates while I waited....which wasn't long. I had my hair cut and then realize you can also get your make up done if you want!!! All the ladies were so nice and fun to talk to while I was there. Maybe next time I will make a day of it. I went to the Savannah Day Spa!!!! Yeah!!!! After finally finding a parking spot....but it's so worth it to go downtown...love love love downtown Savannah! I also love to be pampered so I finally got the chance for some ""me"" time and went to the spa for waxing. I saw Donna and she was so sweet and friendly! I recently moved to Savannah from New York and I have been to many beautiful spa's .By far the Savannah Day Spa is now my favorite. I have had several services and i strongly disagree with the negative remarks made about this spa. i have really enjoyed getting to know everyone at the spa. The atmosphere is very relaxing and inviting. My massage with Josh was wonderful . i also had a facial and wax with Donna and i thought she was very professional and a delight. Best facial and massage by far. I wanted to write in because everyone is quick to give negative opinions, but it is rare that when people have a great experience we rarely share with others. Though the historic house is beautiful this spa leaves much to be desired. The girls behind the counter were very uninterested in anyone but themselves and each other. I waited for 45 minutes without an explanation. Southern (or any kind of) hospitality and charm are totally missing from this place. By the time I finished with my massage I was finally over being so annoyed but what a terrible way to spend the afternoon! I live in Savannah and will be sure to never go back. It is a shame too. I REALLY liked the guy that gave me my massage. Maybe he'll end up somewhere else? \r \r If you are in Savannah, please try the Mansion on Forsyth Park. They are so attentive and professional. We booked an all-out spa day for my husband, my mother-in-law and me. The place is BEAUTIFUL; however, the treatment rooms are a little cramped and the noise from the other rooms was a little much. I could hear every conversation in the adjacent rooms and hallway. I was not able to fully relax. My massage was good, not great, but good. The aesthetician giving me my facial kept telling me over and over again how great their products were and how bad the ones I use are. I am sure they are, but I would really only like to hear about it one time. My mani and pedi were nice, but the room was so cramped I felt like everyone was crawling over the top of each other. We also booked the private spa room with steam room and hot tub. That WAS wonderful!! They had a tray of snacks and cucumber water for us while we were there. Great touch! All in all, it was a nice day but I was not overly impressed. I will try another place next time. Pros: Beautiful historic location Cons: Cramped rooms and average service more

so far, i haven't had a massage better than the ones my husband gives me. the savannah day spa was voted best spa in savannah, although i don't know why. we went for a couples massage. it just wasn't worth the money we spent. the staff was friendly and very helpful in getting us a last minute appointment.
