I have always received great food (and at fantastic prices for a sandwich, chips, and drink), and good service. I have been going to the Sausage Shop for 7 years, since I was lucky enough to be told about them by a coworker, and have never had a bad experience. The meat and cheese are cut fresh to order for your sandwich after you order it, and they are more than accomodating about special requests. I can't recommend them highly enough. The Sausage Shop is one of those great places that I was lucky enough to be told about a few years ago and I now, also, spread the word. The variety and quality of their sausages, in particular, is amazing. I always buy enough to put in the freezer when I go. Their Brats are the best in Tucson. Service is always friendly and polite and professional. This is like the older days when business was done on a more personal basis, something other than choosing a plastic- wrapped meat package out of a case. They also have great meats and will cut to your specifications. I don't know any of these people but when I saw the bad review I had to respond. I have been shopping at the Sauge Shop for years after it was highly recommended to me by a friend. The staff has always been friendly and their meats and sandeiches are the best. The staff joke around with you and even take special orders like grinding bologna for me. They also have some great specialty sodas on hand, not the snooty yuppies stuff, just good old fasion flavors. You can get stuff and service here that I was unable to find anywhere else. I to was a fan until they gave me back my deer meat with hair and hide on it. This was on fresh cuts they made not just on the outside and not just a couple pieces of hair about 10-15 and one package had hide. They claimed it was my responsibility, I must have brought it in dirty, and the $70 I paid does not cover them cleaning my meat. The process of butcher involves cleaning why would anyone want dirty packaged meat back. If my cut pieces of meat have hair on them what is in my hamburger. My meat is unedible and ruined. The owner did not care. They have no pride in their process of butchering. Just think what is in the sausage they do make and the meat they sell. I would not trust anything that came from this company again. DO NOT TRUST!!!!! Cons: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!DID NOT CARE HOW THEY GAVE ME MY MEAT! more
