I bought a 1997 Pontiac GrandAm with low mileage on 6/20/2007 for $4990 from Saturn of Huntsville in Huntsville, Alabama. This non-negotiable price (according to the salesman) was supposed to be several hundred dollars below blue book. I later found out that it is $225 above Kelly Blue Book retail value for this type of car in excellent condition with 59,600 miles. On the sales contract, there is a line item for a $334 processing fee. AN ADDITIONAL $334! $334 plus $225 now puts us over $550 above the fair price of the car. But I really wanted the car so I paid it. 5 days later, the car wouldn't start. Even though I bought the vehicle in as is condition, after hearing endlessly about CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, I contacted to the dealer to see if he would fix the car at a discounted price or share in the cost of the repair ($200). The response: You bought the car in as is condition. I cannot recommend this dealership.
