Dr. Satterfield has a BA degree with Honors in Psychology from UNC Chapel Hill. He received his Doctorate of Optometry in 1984 from UAB Medical Center/School of Optometry and from SECO, a Southern Diplomat in Systemic Disease and General Medicine. Dr. Satterfield is a member of The Guild, which studies functional medicine and anti-aging. He has received a National Leadership Committee Award and has been involved with the Lions Club, local vision screenings and other community services. He is one of Asheville s most experienced optometrists, bringing more than 25 years of service to every procedure..
