Crappiest Food & Service 9/13/2011

I agree with the comments by shan. This is a night mare experience. Moreover the restaurant personnel behave so arrogantly and argue. I will never ever go here again even if they offer free food. My stomach got upset as soon as I ate the food here. I think they are not serving the food fresh. Instead, they are storing the food and you can clearly smell the stinking smell from food. \r Their food is not authentic. more

Worst food ever highly infectious and horrible 6/14/2010

This is the worst food ever.. for god sake do not go there.. I had several episodes of food poisoning after eating here.. Just HORRIBLE.. avoid by all means.. even if offered free of cost!!! Pros: NOthing.. free infection Cons: 2 month old food.. food poisoning free every time more

Mouthwatering and satisfying 4/15/2009

I am so lucky to live near this restaurant.. it is so good~! I go with my roommate often (she lived in India for a while) and we both think its the best in town.\r Their palak paneer is to die for, their butter chicken is excellent... if you order naan order the garlic naan mm... its amazing.\r \r They have a buffet at lunch and its really good.... but like most indian food its 10-15 bucks a person (at least, unless your a fatty like me and order enough for leftovers).\r \r I have never ordered anything I haven't liked. The waitstaff is generally pretty good. Bring tissues because the spice makes your nose run (i usually get medium and its great). Its so worth it. I dont think I can say enough about this restaurant =?) Pros: delicious food Cons: price more

An Awful restaurent in Town 3/29/2009

Its waste to give even a single star and to rate this restaurant(as its a mandatory I am going for Awful). The service is so disgusting that if we go there is no one to give a menu also until and unless we go and ask them after 10 mins sitting idle in the restaurant. Coming to the service, only one tall white guy is good and the rest (one bald headed guy and others) is very very poor and never care about the customers and do discriminate among the customers. Being an indian restaurant they never care about indians and atmost care about americans. They should give equal treatment to all regardless the race which is not happening. Coming to the food, if you want to try a new variety other than what you usually eat at this restaurant please dont try that , if you do , you will never eat that in your life again. Me being a food lover, I have never experienced such a kind of restaurant like Sarovar Indian Cuisine till today and I still wonder like how these guys are still in the business with such a very very bad service and the poor quality of food. Dont ever dare to go to this restaurant. Pros: Nothing Cons: Quality of food, Service, Management ... everything more

Best Indian I've ever had!! 7/6/2008

Now, I've never been a fan of Indian food. I just can't take the spice. I though indain food just wasnt for me, until I went to Sarovar. I got the Chicken Tikka Masala. And I told them to put no spice in it at all. As little spicy as they could make it, and I loved it. The service was great, the restaurant kinda looks like a really little place on the outside, but when you get in, its quite elelgant and spacious. Server was super-nice, their naan is magnificent, and that tikka masala was so good, i cant even get over it. I want to go back so badly! Pros: Food, service, price. Cons: kinda dark, harder to find. more

Best Food Ever! 2/13/2008

great indian cuisine 12/15/2007

This place was recommended to me by a friend and I am very grateful. My boyfriend is middle eastern and he enjoyed the food very much. It's a fairly low-key restaurant and somewhat hidden but definitely worth the find. The service is good and the establishment is clean. The food is impeccable. Very spicy, but that's to be expected. Upon deciding what to eat, try ordering a la carte or sharing a meal because you will be full towards the second half of it. Their pakoras are delicious as is their naan bread. Pros: everything was great Cons: nothing was bad. if anything, the lighting was very dim. more

GOOD FOOD, GREAT SERVICE 10/13/2006

MY FAMILY AND I EAT HERE VERY OFTEN, WE HAVE TRIED MANY INDIAN DISHES BEING THAT MY HUSBAND IS INDIAN, BUT THEY HAVE GOT THEM BEAT BY FAR......GREAT PLACE TO TAKE SOMEONE WHOM HAS NEVER TRIED INDIAN FOOD. THE CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA IS OUT OF THIS WORLD AND GOES VERY WELL WITH MATTAR PANEER........THIS IS A MUST TRY PLACE...EVEN THE KIDS WILL ENJOY THE TANDORI CHICKEN. Pros: EASY TO FIND, NEVER A WAIT TO BE SEATED, FOOD ALWAYS GREAT Cons: CANT THINK OF ANY, OTHER THEN I CANT GO THERE EVERYDAY AT LUNCH more
