Sara Jamison Esthetics

I've been going to Sara for 5 years. Her facials were the best out there, but unfortunately for the last 8 months, Sara fell short to deliver excellent skin care as she once did. During one of my last facials, Sara concentrated in talking about her financial and health problems leaving me in tears. The facial left my skin extremely dry and I broke out for a whole week something never happened before. I called her up and told her and she told me that I needed to buy some products to bring my skin back to norma. Shame on me for buying $300 worth of garbage products!\r \r Well, because I felt compelled to her story, I decided to go for another facial that was supposed to be 1 hour. Sara started up with her aches and pains and I noticed she kept leaving the room with a container in her hands. I thought she was sick, so I asked her if she was ok and she said she was fine but needed to go to the bathroom to fill the container with water. I was so disgusted! She stretched the facial to 2 hours due to her leaving the room and to her non-stop talking. I got up from that bed paid and WILL NEVER go to her again. Folks, do yourselves a favor and go someplace else. Even her personality has changed for the worst of course. more

I met Sara last winter after experimenting for seven years with different spa in Boston and surroundings. After being repeatedly disappointed by the lack of knowledge of so called spa professionals of the basic skin needs, products on the market, or a total lack of care for their clients, I have decided to go solo, and tackle the issue myself. Because Sara Jamison has been my my esthetician for the past few years, I always pass for 35 (I am pushing 50 and never wear makeup). People always ask me what i ""do"" to my skin and I tell them I ""do"" Sara. It is a luxury to step into Sara's warm, beautiful victorian treatment room, change into a terry gown, get a warm, relaxing footbath and crawl under the cozy blankets on her soft, adjustable treatment table. Then, Sara goes to work to give the best, most professional, relaxing and effective facial treatment you will ever have. She is friendly, warm and incredibly knowledgeable. She will examine your skin and ask about your care routine, make recommendations and educate you about skin care, all the while developing and applying a personalized treatment for your skin. Sara is the most skilled facialist that I have ever visited. She has me on a skin regiment that keeps my skin youthful and healthy. That combined with her knowledge of skin and outstanding treatments has kept me a client of Sara's for many, many years now. I do not visit any other salons for facials and don't ever plan to. I've been getting facials for many years, and Sara's are by far the most relaxing and most cleansing. I leave her salon feeling relaxed and energized. As a busy career woman I always find it difficult to relax -- Sara's so good that I find myself drifting off, which makes the time spent with her seem all too brief. The bonus -- I leave with glowing skin and a brief relaxing nap! \r Sara does not push products at you but what she suggests you use always work superbly well, and are well worth the price. I have had facials at many spas and Sara's Dr. Haushka facial is the the best I have ever had. I have also had other wonderful facials by Sara but my favorite is the Dr. Huashka 2 hour facial. It starts with a foot bath and as well as being a wonderful facial it also feels like a body massage. She massages your legs, feet, arms, fingers, neck and shoulders and I have actually fallen sound asleep it is so relaxing. I also have waxing (lip, chin, eyebrow and bikini) and have been very happy with those treatments as well. Sara is a very pleasant, cheerful person at all times and the entire experience is worth the trip. I actually travel farther than I would like but keep coming back as she is so good more

I have been to a million places in the Boston area for facials, from Newbury street spots to Newton and everywhere in between. I have even tried facials at top dermantology offices here and they were all disapointing. I suffer from Adult Acne and when I first went to Sara Jamison I knew she understood skin. Her facials are customized to how your skin is doing that day. She takes some time to ask you about your personal habits and how your skin has been behaving so that she can customize her treatment. Unlike other places where you are out when your time is up, Sara gives you the time you need to get results. She is extremely knowledgeable, the place is very clean, and the products she uses are top of the line. \r Believe me when I say that if you try her once, you will not go anywhere else again. I have been to many skin care specialists over the years, but she is far and away the best. Extraordinary! She gives a customized, educated analysis of the health of your skin. She maintains associations with dermatologists and other medical personnel and can refer you to them, if necessary. Above and beyond all this, the quality of personal attention is amazing: You never feel rushed, never feel that her attention is anything but unwavering. There is no comparison between the facials I have recieved elsewhere and Sara's. She is one of the best, and by far the best esthetician I have ever been to. Her salon is cozy, the bed comfortable, and the experience relaxing and healing. I have had rosacia and acne for most of my life, and with her care, products and information, I feel that there is hope for my skin at last. She really cares about my comfort and my skin's health. I am not just another client to her, and that comes through in the way she speaks, moves and responds. It is clear that she works closely with dermatologists, and her knowledge is extensive. Sara provides the best custom facials in the area. You do not need to travel to Newbury Street to get pampered, Sara is located in Brookline. I've been a client for several years and in the past I suffered from adult acne. With Sara's facials my skin has cleared up and I no longer feel shy going out in public. I love Sara's facials! As well as the facials being a great relaxing, wind-down treat, Sara helps me keep my face clear of acne and rosacea, as well as teaches me about how to keep looking youthful.
