They were closed for a year now. They reopened under new owners, and new management. Its still the same old Sapporo, but they added thai to the menu. They still offer hibachi, steak, and sushi. My family has enjoyed this place for years, and plan to continue to go back, now that its open again. Before they closed in 2008, they moved to 910 Marietta hwy, Roswell, Ga 30075. they are re-opened in that location. A wonderful experience, unbelievably fun, we've been to Japanese Steakhouses all over the southeast, we've never had a female chef, she might look like a guy, but cooks delicious hibachi dinners like Mama-san. It's about time I wrote a review on our favorite Japanese place. :) We go here every month or so for hibachi meals.... There are several very talented chefs (Tony, from Singapore) and a good group of regulars. What makes this place outstanding is the SAUCES! They serve 3 sauces standard: white (seafood), ginger, and my favorite - mustard/horseradish. There are few places that have this third sauce, and it is amazing on steak and chicken. The filet is so very tender, and there are usually at least 4 choices of ice cream for dessert. They do a GREAT job on birthdays. We took our son for the family meal on his 6th birthday last year and he LOVED it! They really made a big deal for him. We are about to take him and the extended family back again tomorrow. If you haven't gone, try it... Also, it is not on Johnson Ferry - it moved to the Coleman Kroger shopping center on Upper Roswell Road, just inside the Fulton County line. This was absolutely the most amazing hibachi experience ever! I am a regular hibachi goer and this place will have me coming back for years! Not only was it a great time with a group of friends, im sure it wold be just as enjoyable as a couple. The management is very talkative and willing to make sure your experience is everything it should be. The chefs are great entertainers as well as excellent cooks. The food was delicious and just thinking about that dinner makes my mouth water. I have to compliment our chef Nino since he helped make our experience all that it was. I will definitely request him the next time i dine there! the lobster with garlic was the best lobster I have ever enjoyed while eating hibachi, not to mention the ginger salad dressing! This restaurant is a joy to dine at. The owners take time to talk to you and build friendships the food is magnificent and the restaurant is lovely. I must compliment the chefs because they make delicious food, give you a show and also chat with you. This resteraunt is perfect for families or groups but can also be enjoyed by couples. There are 2 choices Hibachi or Sushi. Hibachi is the dining area were there is a variety or food such as lobster,shrimp, filet, etc...and the sushi section speaks for itself by serving sushi. This is a fabulous restaurant and I believe that everyone should try this restaurant...This restaurant doesn't require reservations all the time but I suggest you make them on the weekends. I suggest that everyone goes to this restaurant and I can assure you that you will be hooked. more

I have had the pleasure of dining w/ Sapporos for over 5 years. Just thinking about their delicious steak and seafood makes my mouth water. I honestly get so excited when I know that I will be having dinner there. It's not only their main course but their soup and salad are absolutely scrumptious And don't forget about their Ginger dressing. It's out of this world! To sum it up, Sapporo's FABULOUS!
