The Scene
Located next door to Lindy's Diner, Santorini's shares the same owners but not Lindy's retro 50s vibe. During peak hours, service at this little nine-table cafe, while friendly, can be extremely slow. Bide your time staring at the bright Mediterranean mural painted on the south wall and imagine you're in Greece instead of a Greek restaurant in Albuquerque.
The Food
A selection of dependably decent deli sandwiches and simple Greek food. The Greek entrees are offered a la carte or as dinner combos with rice pilaf that tastes like it came from a box, pallid oven-roasted potatoes and soggy but otherwise flavorful dilled green beans. Thankfully, the pastitsio (Greek lasagna) and moussaka (eggplant and ground beef casserole) are both made with a pleasant, delicately spiced tomato sauce that makes them both safe bets.
