If I had my choice of any local hospital, I would definitely choose Santa Barabra Cottage. They have the best doctors and the best equipment. They recently remodeled and the hospital looks great. My husband had back surgery here and I feel that he received the absolute highest level of care. I would not hesitate to go back for a moment. Their prices are a little on the high side, but not much more than some of the lesser quality hospitals locally. more

Cottage Hospital, Santa Barbara, CA 7/18/2005

My experience here was tops. The hospitals leaves no surprises for you. They provide an orientation before surgery even showing you where you will be. You meet the intake nurses a couple days before. They provide you with a folder or information to brief you about your hospital stay. From my arrival to check out, everything was like clock work. The daily nurses were genuinely concerned and helpful. The hospital and rooms were kept emaculate. Of course my Dr. was great. The meals were very good. Check out was easy and fast. They even have valet parking and a parking ticket is given to the patient for 1 car for the duration of the hospital stay. PROS: Top of the line care, friendly caring staff, clean CONS: more
