Best

This is a great facility, the staff is very professional and are always very helpful. The office visits are quick yet informative. The vet Dr. really explains things.

Worst

The vet here was very much afraid of large dogs. He insisted on muzzling dogs that were not even a threat and made us lift our own dogs onto the table (+70lbs). After a surgery ...

Editorial review from Citysearch 7/29/2012

this place is a terrible place for your animals i once took my puppy here cause he had parvo disease but the doctor said he will recover in 3 days but instead of recovering they told us its best too put the dog too sleep but we said no and we paid about 700 dollars just too keep him there but then later on that day they said our dog was pronouced dead i was very upset and just wasted lots of money when they could of told us the dog was going to be fine i suggest no one trust this hospital the staff is clueless and dont know very much about animals if anyone has pets i suggest you go to another santa ana vet not this one or else they will kill your pet thats all good day more

Upset Customer 5/14/2010

If you love your pet (if you are reading this review you do) then do not put your pet through the agony of this place. I have a rabbit (Thumbellina) and when I decided to get her spayed I decided to take her here (BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE). I had called in advance to make an appointment and to make sure the vet had treated and knew for the care of rabbits, which they assured me they did. When I called to make an appointment I expressed to the receptionist if my rabbit could get an exam before the surgery to make sure she was old enough, she assured me she would, but did they, NO they didn't. They ended up calling me around noon that she couldn't get spayed because she was not old enough and the vet could not find her ovaries. You can imagine how upset I was. When I went to go pick her up the vet actually showed his face and was apologetic which made me feel remorseful. He said he had a friend that was an exotic animals specialist that would do the surgery for my bunny with no extra cost to me. I was dumb enough to take him up on that offer, so second time my rabbit went under the knife this time I personally made sure she got examed before going into surgery, the supposed specialist (Dr. Laveen from Sancramento) assured me she was now old enough to get spayed, but I should of known this guy didn't know what he was dooing when he couldn't tell what breed my bunny was. This time they did not call me they waited until I showed up, only to come up with this bogus story of how my rabbit was magically already spayed, because he couldn't find the ovaries either. I called the pet store to make sure of this and they do not purchase rabbits or any animals that have been previously spayed because they purchase them when they are so small that it is still hard to distinguish whether they are male or female. Though this was my bad judgement I blame this hospital for pretending to be something they are not. When I told them there was no possible way that my bunny had been spayed before they changed their story to that the bunny probably never developed her ovaries and would not, bull s**** Please do not make the mistake I did, now I have to spend even more money because I have to correct their mistakes, of course with someone I can trust (Dr. Greek in yorbalinda) Their facilities are not that clean and the receptionist ignores you more

Worst Mistake of my life 5/14/2010

When I decided to get my animal spayed, my rabbit, I never thought it would be such a hassle. The vet assured me they worked with rabbits and turned out to be false. After slicing her open and realizing they didn't know what to do they referred me to a specialist who sliced her open again and made mistakes too. If you love your animals do not put them through this misery Pros: low cost Cons: will have to pay double the cost to correct their mistakes more

bad experiences 3/7/2008

The vet here was very much afraid of large dogs. He insisted on muzzling dogs that were not even a threat and made us lift our own dogs onto the table (+70lbs). After a surgery here, my dog needed to get it corrected. I would not go here unless it is for something very simple and basic like shots. more
