I recently had my first Pre-natal massage here. It was such a great experience I didn't want it to end. Tye did such a wonderful job :) When my session was over I was wishing I had booked more time. I recently did a search for a massage therapist in my area and came upon this site. The reviews for Sankofa and the owner/massage therapist convinced me easily that this was a place worth checking out. I was not disappointed. I cannot find anything negative to say. Tye is very accommodating, accessible, professional, easy to speak to, very knowledgeable, talented, and skilled. Her services are very affordable and her business is easy to find. I intend on seeing her regularly for my much needed, deep tissue massage. Pros: professional, skilled, knowledgeable, affordable Cons: none more

Tye was great! I put down that it is a little tricky to find the location, but when I called for directions, she stayed on the line with me until she could see my car out the window. Since it was my first time getting a deep tissue massage, Tye carefully explained what to expect beforehand, and reassured me that the process is about ME, and the most important thing is my comfort. The space was very clean and professional and cozy. I greatly enjoyed my experience and scheduled my next appointment already! Pros: Intimate space, personal attention Cons: Tricky to find more

I have been waiting for a chance to write this review. My wife and I visited sankofa in Jan 2010. It was a gift to ourselves to start the new year of right, and boy did we! Tye was to comforting, warm, and pleasant. It is small location so there was personal attention paid to us with no distractions. Immediately upon entry I felt at ease, it was warm and cozy plus the scents were not over powering at all. I Highly recommend this place to everyone! Enjoy I know I did. Pros: Everything! I got a 1 hour deep tissue massage... my first visit to Sankofa. This is a place I will definitely return! I am partial to deep tissue over relaxation massage - so this review will be for those like me out there: Tye has great strength and pressure, which is something I look for, of course she asked if it was the right amount as she moved to a different body part. I like my massage to be somewhat uncomfortable so that the good feeling after the massage lasts for a LONG time! This massage was GREAT! I was a little sore that night, but woke up totally rejuvenated! My body was really starting to ache, and its all gone now! I will be a repeat customer for sure! I am a frequent massage client at a competitive spa, but wanted to give Sankofa a try after a friend recommended it. The deep tissue massage and reflexology treatment I received at Sankofa was one of the best!! Several years ago I injured my hands boxing; the treatment I received at Sankofa is the first ever to make my hands feel great for an extended period of time. Sankofa is absolutely fabulous!! Had seen Tye before for a foot massage, which was great. Decided to treat myself to a body massage and it was worth it. Everyone is struggling these days with work or money issues.......this is the Best thing you can do to relieve all of that stress and tension. Felt like a new person when I left. Cant wait to go back :) Pros: Soooooo relaxing more
