About five years ago I was in Costa Rica and had a dental emergence. I was referred to a women dentist. I was shocked how small, soft and gentle her hands were as she worked on my teeth. I did not feel as if I was gaging because my mouth was full of large fingers. more

We have had our share of bad dentist...My youngest daughters has been plagued with dental issues since she began growing teeth! We had used 3 different dentists before she turned 5 (all of which were recommended, oddly one of which was shut down for bad business practices soon after we left him!) We were skeptical, but after calling their after hours number with an emergency in 2004 - I dare say that if we moved out of state, we would still drive back to Dr. Sandra Vargas. All of the staff are expertly trained and have great bedside manner. Dr. Alvarez is a pro with a needle. And I am a professed needle phobe! She uses just the right amount of sneaky dirversion coupled with skilled application that you don't even know you've been pricked. Though they do not specialize in pediactrics, I would highly recommend Vargas Dental for anyone of any age. The office staff is also a wiz with tricky insurance filings. They are wonderful professionals. Pros: Nice waiting area, close proximity to major intersections, longer hours and Saturday appts.
