Great food, nice Jazz 10/22/2007

Last weekend, we had dinner with two families (5 adults, 5 small kids) at the Sand Dollar. It is not an easy task to get such a crowd together, and we had to wait for a table although we had made a reservation. But the staff were friendly, and above all, food was just great (although the kids menues were as unhealthy and uninspired as nearly anywhere else). The Sand Dollar to Stinson is like Taddich's to San Francisco... It is THE institution to it's town. They're raw oysters are always the freshest, their prime NY steak is always the juiciest, their margaritas are packed with real lime citrus and high end tequila, their staff is warm and friendly and the decor to the restaurant is done really well. Fantastic! 4/3/2005

I was hiking with friends in Stinson Beach. Not knowing anything about local dining, we just randomly picked Sand Dollar, which looked like a great ""local flavor"" restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised to say the least! I kept it simple with the fish and chips, and my friends had a variety of choices including the delicious oysters. Everyone was delighted with the place and the food. Everything was fantastic: food, service, atmosphere, and prices. We all mentioned that it's our new ""regular"" eatery when we're in Stinson Beach. Delicious! 3/21/2005

I enjoyed a lovely meal at the SandDollar on Friday evening. Our server was friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. I recently dined at the Sand Dollar and was extremly impressed with the experience there. The staff was both extremely proffesional and friendly. The food was fantastic. The use of organic produce and high quality ingredients was obvious. I will be returning soon. more
