I was treated so bad there and overcharged! I never ever will go back there again! The girls there were very unfriendly, very brash, i felt like I was being jerked around, i was told to get water out of the bathroom faucet when I saw they had bottle water. The blow dryer was so hot on my scalp and the girl wouldnt stop burning me. There was no massage when she washed out my hair. The toner turned my hair brassy so i was charged a correction fee. My bill was 230.00 without tip added for color and no haircut. The owner must have hated me. I was not happy with the treatment I recieved i wanted to leave but I am shy and i was embarassed. i felt so bad when I left there. Never again. more

I was referred to this hair salon by Craig's list. After several consults and price comparisons I decided to go with Sanctuary Salon in Honolulu. The prices are w/in a reasonable range and my stylist?? Phenomenal!!! Kudos to you Ricky! He cut my hair so precisely and talk about the bad hair days I was having! He knew exactly what I wanted and delivered better than I could've ever expected. I'm glad he listened to what I truly wanted and not just what he wanted to do. I had gotten that response, "Well, your hair needs to be done like this, I don't want to do it like you want," from some of the other stylists I had seen before deciding to go with Ricky. Has that ever happened to anyone else? The stylist wants to do your hair their way and not yours? How frustrating is that?? more

Sanctuary is actually a full-service salon, offering services for hair, make-up, waxing, and more. A former co-worker recommended Sanctuary after I had commented on how much I liked her highlights. They looked natural and balanced. I made an appointment and came in where I was able to consult with the owner on how to go about treating my hair. I was very happy with the results. I even used them to have my highlights touched up for my wedding. The guys and gals at Sanctuary are a talented, professional, fun group. Highly recommended! more
