Sanctuary On Camelback Mtn

A friend suggested a girl's day at the spa/pool for her birthday at the Sanctuary. She received a spa gift certificate and had heard wonderful things about the Sanctuary. Two of us purchased a fitness pass in which we used the fitness facilities, took an excellent yoga class while our other two friends were getting facials and massages at the spa. We all spent the remainder of the day relaxing in the comfortable padded lounge chairs, cooling off in the sparkling pool, enjoying the beautiful views of the resort , and ordering lunch/drinks by the pool. The pool waiters and waitresses were friendly, very tentative and continued providing ice cold pictures of water, checking to see if we needed any additional beverages/food items and brought us chilled towels to wipe our faces with. The food and drinks that we ordered were excellent. No complaints here. Looking forward to another day at the Sanctuary and putting this on my gift "wish list". Highly recommended for a day of R&R or mini day vacation for yourself, you and your significant other or with some friends. more

We went here to celebrate our 15th anniversary. We went to the manager's reception - where the host insulted IT people before he found out I was in IT -- and then my husband got food poisoning at the restaurant. When I called for medical services - they started giving me numbers for all across town and I am NOT from the area. They let us stay 1 hour past checkout (they needed the room for a big time guest). Oh - and they took the restaurant bill off our tab - how generous! The doctor who treated my husband said he goes up there to treat people all the time - and didn't understand why they didn't just call - I do - they wanted us out because the place was booked! more

Sanctuary is a must for out of town guest. A beautiful hotel and wonderful restaurants make this a one of the best in Scottsdale. A really nice spa too. more

Thsi hotel is a must for that weekend away from everyone. The setting is serene and romantic. Take a bath in your outdoor bathtub while enjoying privacy and the beautiful Arizona weather. The service is unlike anything in the area and the spa services are worth planning for the extra expense. All in all this is perfect for the anniversary, reconnect or what ever the need to loose yourselves in each other. more

This picturesque resort will take you away to an earlier time. It is nestled in the mountain and the accomodations are luxurious yet comfortable. The restaurant and lounge have breathtaking views and a gourmet menu. more

We loved our weekend at Sanctuary. The property is beautiful, the staff is great and leaves little to complain about. Although I thought it was good, I suggest that Elements is a bit overrated. There is better food off of the property. Of course, who wants to leave the property! Pros: Property, Service, Value Cons: Having to leave. more

My wife and I stayed at The Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain and it was PERFECT! The spa casitas are amazing with the outdoor bathtubs and we even toured some of the private homes they offer, AMAZING! The cuisine in 'elements' was superb and not as expensive as one would think. The Sanctuary Spa was a peace of heaven in the well named area, Paradise Valley. We will return again, soon. I stayed here for two night in a mountain casita with my girlfriend and we enjoyed it very much. Wonderful little touches like tealight candles, bath salts, slippers. The infinity pool was great and dining at Elements was fabulous! I highly recommend a stay here - if you want a little more romance, book a spa suite.
