Editorial review from Citysearch 7/12/2012

Disappointed in HR professionalism at Center. Called only one employer history and cancelled appointment. Didn't bother to check other employers who would have highly recommended prospect. Never considered that the company they called would have a reputation for dishonesty and unethical behavior or even give the prospect a chance to explain why they put down left for mgmt change and question it. Shame on HR, very unprofessional and lazy. You missed having a great employee. I hope the Practice Partners read this. more

Fibro Gal 2/12/2012

I was in this hole for 10 damm days. My bed was built of a wood frame and the mattress was only a cot. You know, like a camping cot. I have arthitis bad in my left knee, and was taking a shower and dropped the soap. I forgot and leaned down to get the soap and couldn't get back up. I screamed and no one came to help me. I finally climbled up the wall and finished my shower. The nurses tricked me and I had to take a shot. With Fibromyalgia the pain from a shot is very painful. The next day they had to chase me around and it took five of the staff to hold me down, and theykept me away from the patients for a little while. They thought the shots would calm me down, Ha! I did anything I wanted the rest of my imprisionment. They had the silliest classes like showing us a flower stem on a piece of paper and started describing Hi, my name is Sharon Humphries, and was not suicidal when they put me in this hell-hole from 7/17/2011 until 7/27/2011. I have severe Fibromyalgia. The beds were nothing but wood cart with a three inch cot to sleep on. The staff lied to us {I almost got killed by some of the other patients. I took a shower and dropped my soap and couldn't get up. I screamed for help and no one came to help me. I finally cawled back the wall and finished my shower. My husband brought me clothes and they just picked out a few for me to wear. One pair I got my pink flannel pajamas with cupcakes on them. I started getting constapatedand told the staff, and got ingnored. WE had apple juice and grape juice in our fridge and I started taking the juice and still got no refief. I went to the bathroom and stuck my finger down my throat to vomit to get some relief. They had classes on how to grow plants from seeds which was Ridicuousfter the fourth or fifth day I was in there. Nurses lied to me all the time. By the way, I was in Section 5. Don't know about Section 2. I didn't have your Dale. One night they said I couldn't have dinner, so I thought I would be hungry. Someone was nice and brought dinner to me. They put me on 3 different medicines without telling me. I didn't sleep the whole 10 days! We didn't have anytjhing to do! I begged the staff to give us copy paper to draw on! We had no place to get fresh air, oh the ones who smoked, had cigerette breaks, so I just started going outside when smoke breaks was given. The other non smokers started going outside too. I could go on about this hell-hole. I am going to sue. I want other people to read this so they can get some idea of what it is like in a place like this. No one should be treated this way. Super Doc 6/26/2007

He saw me just after I entered the center. He was patient and so kind to me. I wish he was my personal doctor. He gets so many kudos. I would have a problem and I would ask the nurse about it and she would ignore me.. so I would wait until he was finished with a newbie and I would ask him. He would have a script written up because he knew I needed it. It's too bad that we only get to see him once. He's a great doctor. I would have loved to tell him good bye and give him a hug! :-) OOO there is 3 big hugs. Pros: Got to see him when we are first admitted, Super bed-side manner, didn't mind us chasing him down when we had something else wrong Cons: We only got one visit from him, we needed move visits for other medical problems more

It's so hard to walk through those doors, but it was even harder for me to walk out! 6/26/2007

This is my first time leaving a review so I hope I do it well. I entered the center on a Tuesday and was lucky enough to have Dale, my guardian angel, to educate me on Unit 2 of the center. The center was very friendly. We were all there in different circumstances, but for the same reasons. We all needed help! The group therapies were very helpful for me. I found that I was excited about getting out of bed to go to therapy because I knew I had a new friend there and were going to share a new experience together. I found that the staff during the week made sure that we weren't down. They paid attention to us and kept us up and going. If I was having a bad day, someone from the staff would come in my room and find out what was going on. It was a whole different story on the weekends! The weekend staff was terrible! I had to endure them twice. The food was fairly good. I did gain some weight so I'm not complaining about the food. My biggest compliment would have to go to Dale! If you ever go to the Center, make a friend out of him. The first week I was there a gentleman named Jim filled in for our normal therapist Linda. Jim was an outstanding therapist. He doesn't normally do that job, but I think he was there for me for a certain purpose. Jim is a wise man and I enjoyed his group therapy very much even if I am 5 minutes late. The name of my review was.. It's so hard to walk through those doors, but it was even harder for me to walk out! It was very hard for me to go into the center. I was leaving my husband and two children behind. My husband cried as Dale took him to the front door. As I stayed inthe Center, I learned that the doors were always locked and I was safe. There wasn't anyone or anything to get me. Then I had to walk back out those same doors.. Face the outside again! I did walk out the door, but I didn't take off my bracelet until today. It's been 11 days since I left the center and I took my bracelet off today. Pros: You have Dale for security. You have a great staff in Unit 2 during the week. Cons: You only have Dale 3 days a week. The daytime weekend staff is not nice. more
