WellSpace Health, formerly known as The Effort, a Federally Qualified Health Center, was established in 1953. Our doctors currently provide health care in our various community health centers. WellSpace Health also offers inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment and our therapists offer mental health counseling. In addition, our physicians and medical staff offer pregnancy and midwife services.
WellSpace Health is also a leader in integrated care, blending physical health services with addiction and mental health treatment. Other medical products are offered through community partnerships, like T3 (Triage, Transport, and Treat) that reduces Emergency Room overcrowding by helping people with non-urgent care find a healthcare home in the community, and ICP (the Interim Care Program) that reduces medical relapse following hospital discharge. WellSpace Health has a "No Wrong Door" belief. This means that each service site seeks to connect community members to everything WellSpace Health has to offer.
Since 1968, WellSpace Health has also operated the Suicide Prevention Crisis Line, We are the regional provider of suicide prevention for 32 counties in Northern and Central California. We answer calls 24 hours a day, 365 days a year from those living within the 916, 209, 530, and 707 area codes.
