Top Business School 12/15/2010

Although San Diego State University is home to more than 30,000 students, it offers them an outstanding education. The undergraduate business program is highly "impacted", so to speak. For the undergraduate business program, as for fall semester 2010, admitted students had an average GPA of 3.8 out of high school, and a 3.5 out of community college (transfer students). The International Business program specifically is regarded the largest of its kind in the United States. The program is ranked No. 1 in California and No. 15 in the country. Admittedly, if you are an economics major, you may be better off going to a UC school; however, if you are a business major, SDSU is the place to go. Most UCs don't even offer business majors like marketing, finance, banking, real estate, management, and the like. SDSU is also a huge recruiting pool for national and international firms. Plus, San Diego's national and international name recognition will be a major benefit to you. On top of all that, SDSU is also considered to be a decent party school. All in all, SDSU will offer you the best college experience you'd ever want. more

more than i expected 10/22/2005

I went in thinking that Oh, its a state school, meaning that I was unable to get into any other schools. But what I learned was more than I expected. I had great professors who actually would care about how the students were doing. and yes, there are parties all the time, but if you care enough to do well in class, then you won't party all the time. there were some cases where I did not enjoy my classes and realized some classes were a major waste of time. Plus, the overcrowding was always a problem. I was able to finish on time somehow, even with all the classes I needed were filled by the time I registered. I never had a problem with parking, If you get there early, you're set. You can't wait till the last minute, and yes, you may need to park in a lot farther than your classroom. Walking won't kill ya! Overall, I was impressed with the education that I received. I hope to go back soon to get my teaching credential. more

Worse School 9/9/2005

I would not go here again if you paid me. It is over crowded, over priced and you really don't learn anything new. The teachers discriminate and the administration sits back and watches. I speak from experience. This is a total party school and I would not go here if it is free. Parking is a total joke. You might as well take public transportation. more
