The San Diego airport is great, in that it truly is in the heart of downtown. No long drives into town like in some other metro area. You can even catch a city bus to take you to down town for just a few bucks. Terminal 1 is usually hectic because that is where Southwest is. Terminal 2 is newer and always has great art to look at. Also in terminal 2 you will find fun rocking chairs to hang out in while you wait for your plane. Everything is close at hand ... not a lot of walking. Food selections are ok at best. more

Nice, but not great 8/16/2005

Its a pretty nice airport, but when traveling out of town you are bound to see better. It is set up well so you will not have many problems with checking in and luggage claim, although security can take a while. The staff there has been pretty good, seeming ready to assist people if they need it. more

Easy to get in and out! 8/14/2005

The San Diego airport is one of my favorite to fly in and out of. I have always experienced friendly staff in check in and security. There seems to be few delays. Traffic around the airport is always a big plus. It is easy to navigate and there is rarely much traffic. I definitely prefer the relaxing traveling experience flying in or out of San Diego International, as opposed to the Oakland or San Francisco airports for example. more

Nice airport 8/11/2005

One of the busiest airports in US, San Diego International airport is 24 hour operational & every ten minutes there is a flight landing or taking off from here. I like this airport for its spacious parking lot & easily accessible by freeway. The directions to the airport arrival & departures for different plane operators across US is also listed clearly. more
