I have been seeing SC Dental for at least the last 6 years and have only had good experiences. The staff is very friendly and makes me feel good about being there. I have only been cared for by my team of Dr. Joe and Hygienist Donna since the beginning. \r

Recently Dr. Joe has completed replacing all my amalgam fillings (13 total over 6 years, as the amalgam deteriorated) with porcelain inlays/onlays and I've never been happier with my mouth. The Cerec tooth restoration has left my mouth much less sensitive than the traditional amalgam fillings and my teeth look like they are my own. With Cerec I've had up to 4 teeth worked on at a time in under 3 hours, and I'm able to go right out with no sensitivity. I do clench and grind my teeth quite a bit and the few times I've cracked or popped a restoration they have guaranteed their work and replaced it at no cost (Note: the restorations that have cracked or popped were at least 5+ years old). In addition they made me a night bite guard and have worked with me on a care routine to prevent me from damaging my teeth and dental work. \r

Donna has worked with me to bring my mouth back to a healthy state. She is a very calm skilled hygienist and a pleasure to be around. With regular visits every 3-4 months, we have reversed a lot of the damage that I brought upon myself with poor diet and a lack of mouth care habits. Thank you Donna for helping me have better oral hygiene. \r

The reception team has always been nice and accommodating on my watch. They are good at explaining the charges and how my insurance affects my bill, and on occasion, when times have been tight, they've worked with me on a payment plan and getting approved for a medical credit line/card. Generally service with a smile :-)\r

The facility is one of the cleanest and most state of the art that I've ever been in. After being introduced to the modern techniques and tools at Smile my last dentist appears much more archaic. I guess a doctor that has been practicing for 50 years is probably practicing what he learned 50 years ago; though I do miss all The Far Side comic books he had, then again I don't wait long enough to read through them now.\r

I'd like to take a moment to address the bad reviews. For one, notice that Dr. Joe's team isn't mentioned in any of the bad reviews. 2. - If you're going to be late don't be surprised if they ask you to reschedule, it's happened to me, but I'm also traditionally late about 20 minutes. 3. - As for cost, I might have spent less somewhere else, but I also feel that I got my money's worth. I used to cut meat and one thing I learned was if you spend $5 on a steak you get a $5 steak, and if you spend $30 on a steak you get a $30 steak, but you can't put a $5 steak next to a $30 steak and expect the same results.\r

Thank you again to my friends at SC Dental Group for the friendly knowledgeable service and improving my oral health.
