Great Korean Food 1/19/2012

My husband and I eat here often. Our favorite is the Bul go gi and the fried dumplings. The food is always good, we have never been disappointed. The service is courteous and fast. It is not a fancy place...but the food is excellent, the best in town. more

Enjoy the Food, and Service 3/4/2010

I love to bring my family here for the food and service. There is one waitress that you can take the wrong way at first, but she is really nice if you pay attention. The food is great anything is great here. They even made thier squid dish delicous, We love there and the Lunch Box Meals. The owner is VERY Nice and friendly We like it when he comes out to check on everyone and make some small talk. Kids LOVE IT Here. Recomend for a Yummy stop for Korean food Pros: Food and Service Cons: Think they could upgrade the physical atmosphere more

San Chang House is first rate in our book 10/11/2009

San Chang is the only restaurant my wife and I go to when we venture out to eat. Been eating there since fall of 2005. Absolutely the best place in town If you are a first time Korean food patron I would recommend the Mandu Guk (Korean Wonton soup) Dak Gui (Barbecue Chicken). You can't go wrong and the sides that come with them are fantastic. If they were to package and sell their cabbage, radish and cucumber kimchi they would sell out everyday!!! They have 2 loyal customers in us. more

Best Bagogi in town period. Pros: Bagogi!!!! Cons: canned soda's therefor no free refills. more

Disappointing 7/31/2009

I have been to Korea and to Korean restaurants in other cities around the world. I was disappointed in this restaurant and will not be back. Pros: Location, Exotic Dishes Cons: Not great cooking, quality or atmosphere more

Horrible service! 7/24/2009

This restaurant is suppose to be #1 in Colorado Springs, but I would not recommend this place to anyone after finding a 'dead fly' in the kim chee! The service was horrible & servers were very rude! more

YUMMY!!! 2/21/2008

The food here is really delicious. We've been every few weeks since we discovered it and even brought family here when they came in from Chicago. I don't know why they have the vents over a few tables because i don't think they actually cook at the tables like many of the Korean places ive been to in other places like California and Hong Kong. We barely miss it since they bring out the meat on hot sizzling iron plates. The people here are friendly. Ill admit the atmosphere is more like a diner than a four star but its affordable and good food. Pros: delicious food, good portions, great service Cons: not the fanciest restaurant in the world more

Good Food, but Scary Inside 1/30/2008

I went to this restaurant because my friend was moving and she loves Korean food. I was impressed by the food. I got a bowl of kimchi soup and it came boiling hot. (I mean it was actually boiling and I had to wait 10 minutes until it stopped.) The waitstaff and the chef are super friendly. The thing that scared me was the atmosphere. They have these huge cooking tables with vents all over. The chairs and tables are hard and the floor is hard tile. Nothing is comfortable about being inside this restaurant. If they could remodel, I'd be back, but I enjoy sitting in a school cafeteria more than this restaurant. Pros: Food is excellent, Service is Excellent Cons: Ambience... is there any? more

One of my favorite restaurants 1/13/2006

San Chang is one of my favorite restaurants in town. This restaurant is located in a strip mall and the door to get in has never worked correctly. The restaurant is a bit bright most of the time but has what I consider to be the best Korean food in the city and perhaps some of the best I have had since I left Korea 15 years ago. The owner is a very nice gentleman that remembers his regular customers. Staff is always polite and very nice. I have eaten most everything on the menu at one point in time or another and with each meal only a single word comes to mind MMMMMMMMM. If the restaurant gets busy the service can be a bit slow and meals are served individually as they are prepared. I believe this restaurant continually wins the independents award for best Korean food. more

One of my favorites 11/23/2005

I love this place and believe me I know what authentic tastes like. My mom doesn't like this place. For that matter my mom doesn't like any korean restaurants here. I don't blame her she makes darn good food (she's korean). But for the Korean American, I must say this isn't bad and the amount of food you get is great! I love that with the entrees you get like 10 different kimchees. I love it. I could just go there for that. this is great for people who want to try korean but is afraid to, but go with someone who knows a little about korean. the place is a little small and look like it could use a bit more decorations but it's the food that keeps me coming back. The service is also excellent. more
