They're doing something right 9/28/2009

Always packed especially on weekends, this place consistently serves the best Bangus Belly (aka fish bbq'd over charcoal) in the Bay Area. You know when you find that one restaurant in Chinatown that has actual Chinese clientele? You sit down because they have to know what they're doing right? I mean, not just tourists are there. Well, this is the comparable thing with Filipino food. Go there any given night and the clients are 75% Filipinos, with smiles on their faces. They're doing something right when they've consistently been #1 for many years now. more

It's more about who comes closest to excellent home cooking. 4/10/2009

They have the VERY BEST bangus belly out of all the local Filipino restaurants in the san francisco bay area. The beef sinigang and lechon kawali are also quite good. more

Finally, a decent Filipino joint! 3/27/2007

I grew up in the Philippines until my teens and have always been disappointed in food quality at Filipino restaurants in SF (LA seems to have better places). This location is not exactly SF, but it's worth the drive over to taste their Kare-Kare, Crispy Pata, and their specialty Inihaw (pork, chicken, beef). My boyfriend who is not Filipino thought that this was very good Filipino food. I told him that Filipino food IS good, the restaurants just don't do a good job. They lack some indigenous dishes that I love like Dinuguan, but I see why the would have left it out. I hope they open another location in SF or even in Marin where I live. Pros: The Food! Fast, Friendly service, parking in the back if the street is full Cons: not in SF more

Best Filipino Restaurant In the Bay Area 5/25/2006

I'm a Filipino American who had been usually dissapointed for most of my life going to Filipino Restaurants that were'nt as good as home cooking. I have to say, THIS IS JUST AS GOOD AS FILIPINO HOME COOKING. This is a hidden gem in the Bay that I started going to through word of mouth. It's usually a little tricky to park on the street that its actually on, but there is a parking lot in the back. For those in the mood fo Filipino cuisine. You will not be dissapointed. A+ and 10 on my scale. I hope they open another one. Mmmm Mmmm GOOD! Come early, since the place is a bit small, it can get crowded. Pros: Good food, Service is good, Worth the wait Cons: Limited Parking, Small Restaurant, Can get crowded more
