Throughout my childhood, all the way up to high school, I suffered the most horrific ingrown toenails. I had one removed at an emergency clinic before, but it came back. Finally, I made an appointment with Dr. Bellacosa and he literally changed my life. I am now close to 30 and for over ten years, I haven't had any more toe problems. He is really friendly. He knows how to work with people who are deathly afraid of needles and is a true professional. There is nothing worse than feet problems- he is a caring physician who I highly recommend. Pros: Friendly and knowledgable Cons: Nobody likes needles more

I have a severe bunion on each of my feet. I had the one on my left foot ""corrected"" back in January of this year. I put ""corrected"" in quotations because it still looks like I have a bunion. No, I DO still have a bunion. It's not as bad as it was before, but, hey, if I had to go through six weeks of being in a cast, another month of being in a surgical boot, and however many more months of being able to only walk and not run or jump or dance, then I'd like to not have a bunion. My doctor is Dr. Richard Bellacosa, and he seems like a very intelligent, capable doctor, but gee. He said that my foot is very flexible and that one of the other bones in my foot is moving and causing my bunion to come back already, which I guess he didn't foresee. So he said he'll probably go back in and do some more cutting. Am I going to have to pay for that??? Ridiculous. Anyway, I don't know if I would recommend them. Maybe. I can't tell if he was negligent, or if he really couldn't foresee me still having a bunion. He said he would ""know better for my right foot"". But, damn, I don't know if I really want to go through all this for my other foot. :(\r \r Oh, and the receptionist is very mean, and I often have to wait two hours to see the doctor. Blegh. Pros: Dr. Bellacosa is a friendly, personable doctor. Cons: I still have a bunion after I had a bunionectomy. Wait time is awful. Mean receptionist. more
