liar and fraud 3/4/2016

he is a liar. he lied to me and my Master about who knows what. He sent me a fake collection letter saying I owe him almost $900. he and his school suck. he never tought me anything other than watch who you trust. he had me do a cage fight, and never tought me what I came in for... tkd lessons. he sucks and he can't block my strikes like others can. he has a blackbelt in everything, in other words he sucks at it all. he never tought me nunchucks either and I paid almost $150 a month. This is the one in medford. more

Phony 11/26/2011

Rob isn't a bjj black belt and the only Black belt he legitimately has is a 1st black in Kenpo under "Doc" John La Tourrette who is also a fraud (Who really just wanted to retire and sell his school to Rob). This school is overpriced and doesn't offer much for it's price. Basically you can expect to be paying $20 a week for 1 30 minute session a week with an amatuer cage fighter or $30 a week for the 1 private lesson with Rob where he will waste most of your time making you do push ups while he talks to his friends. Group lessons are free but you won't learn anything in a group class. Unless you count the full contact sparring where you will likely be a human punching bag for Rob to show off his ego. If you are looking for true BJJ training then go train with Pistol Pete at the Lotus Club. If you're looking for Kenpo you won't find it here or anywhere in this valley. Rob's form and technique is extremely sloppy which basically defeats the entire purpose of kenpo if your technique is horrible. If you want to jump on the MMA band wagon and fight for an amatuer cage fighting league that means you haven't made it anywhere then I recommend checking out SFA. Also don't believe the BS Samurai story.. This was just a BS story that "Dr." John La Tourrette fed Rob when Rob was his student when SFA used to be called "Kenpo Karate". more

Fraud 10/9/2011

Rob claims to be a bjj black belt but isn't. The school is overpriced for what you get. There are only two real bjj black belts in southern oregon, "Pistol" Pete Loncarevich (BB under Joe Moreira) and Dietrich Caillier (under Marco Nascimento). Go to one of them. more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE 12/15/2010

I've been a Taekwondo student for 6 years and all they wanted to do was teach me how to box, and I NEVER box. Anyways they wanted me to box their "Head Instructor". I OUT BOXED Him! It wasn't even close. And I'll be honest my Hands are horrible! I quit that night. (if I can't beat their Best with my Hands, thats saying something pretty bad) Do NOT go to Sensei Hisamoto's School, They have no idea what they are doing. more

Bad 11/2/2010

Overpriced crappy training from a sensei with no real honor, discipline, respect ...... more

Poor Quality School 6/4/2007

I have personally not had a good experience with this martial arts school. The teachers seem to only want your money! Their prices are outrageous for what is offered cirriculum wise. It is just poor quality to say the least. I definitely would not recommend it. more

Good teacher with lots of different styles. 8/21/2005

Here the teacher is Rob Hisamoto and he is very nice and experienced. He fights in mixed martial arts fights and can teach you how to cage fight, judo, swordmanship, kenpo, and jujitsu. Rob teaches adults and kids. Here you can also get tickets for the MMA fights. Go here and join. It's pretty fun. more
