We walked into Samui on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant is beautiful with tons of natural light shining through the windows. The Shops were packed, but Samui was dead. The hostess was bored, for reasons of no one to greet. We were seated promptly and were handed stained menus. The calamari was fishy and was sent back and replaced with fried vegetable spring rolls with a greasy peanut sauce. So far everything was a disappointment. We were putting our hopes in the Pad Tai and Pepper Steak. The Pad Tai had a decent flavor but the noodles were completely over cooked. The Pepper Steak was good, but nothing special. The food and two glasses of wine was over $50. I felt robbed! \r

With so many restaurants in walking distance, keep walking past Samui. If you're craving Asian flavors try Naan, or if you're craving Thai make the trip to Mint in Dallas.
