Maybe the owner was having an off day, but when we dropped in for a bite to eat, it was an awful experience. We ordered a toasted sandwich and the owner got talking to a few other patrons and burned our sandwich! Instead of starting over, he scraped off the burnt parts and gave the sandwich to us!! What the heck?? Poor poor service. Do not recommend. more

Quality deli in good location 8/6/2005

Good food, with fairly quick service. It was my favorite place to go as a kid, but as I have gotten older and have come to appreciate better deli sandwiches, I have come to find Sam's a bit below par of a great deli. The way Safeway's deli is improving, you would probably be just as good off heading across the street to Safeway. more
