Great shop to visit, Sam is respectful, hospitable, and even humorous. Great shop to get your cleaning and alterations done. almost get your items the next day or day after. I just wish I lived closer so I can go more often. This shop is worth the trip if your not close to Brighton. I recommend him to everybody who needs good professional work done. Sam's is by far, the best dry cleaner's in Brighton. Everytime I bring my clothes there, it's always ready when he says it will be and if I need a rush job, he'll get it done for me. He does an exceptional job whenever I need my clothes sewn or have a bad stain or tear in them. I very highly recommend him!!! Pros: Thumbs up! Cons: NONE! more

I have been going to Sam's Tailor shop and dry cleaners for 3 years now. I have gotten pants, sports coats jackets and shirts fixed at Sam's and he always gives excellent quality service in a timely manner. If you need something altered or fixed in a rush he can do that too. Sam's dry cleaning service is cheaper than any other dry cleaning service in the Allston/Brighton area. I always have crisp clean pressed pants jackets and shirts. Other dry cleaners miss stains and spots, but over the last three years Sam has gotten all of my stains out except one (which was dirty motor oil). Sam is always friendly and warm when I go there. I tell all of my friends in Allston and Brighton about his service. I met several of his customers who come all the way from Natick because of his good prices and great service. If you haven't tried Sam's tailor shop and dry cleaners yet, give him a try and I promise you will never go anywhere else. Pros: Good prices. more

Sam is an amazing tailor, I took my dress pants to him and I thought it was unfixable but he surprised me with his fantastic work. I've going to his shop for the last year and he never disappointed me. I do all dry cleaning there and I always get it on time. Honestly this is the best tailor shop I've been to. more

Sam got the job done, and clearly, he can dry clean and sew. The problem is he can't do it WELL. I was one unhappy customer when after I pointed out a broken stitch to him he fixed it by taking half of it out without tying it off. When I pointed out that I can pull it out, he said ""Don't pull on it""! He fixed it by putting multiple uneven stitches all over it because he seemed in a rush to go home (it was almost closing time). Sure, it won't fall off anytime soon, but it looks like a mess. When I pointed out the uneven stitching and told him it wasn't a good job, he got huffy with me, tried to take away the jacket, and told me he knows what a good stitch better than I would. I don't know about that, I can see when something is uneven and goes every which way I have also gotten things tailored in the past and sewed up a hem or two myself. Pros: Gets the job done on time, does what he said he will do, sewed up a hole Cons: Attitude, customer doesn't come first, bad workmanship when in a rush, rude. more

The Athenian tailor has ruined a few of the items I have taken to her. She inevitalby makes pants too short in caseswhen I have told her to lengthen the hem as they were pinned too short. The clothes are almost never ready when they are supposed to be. I would not recommend her more
