I am Indian and growing up I was spoiled by virtue of having an extremely good cook for a mother. I've been to all of the Indian restaurants in Vegas and have also visited Indian restaurants in many other parts of the country. (I travel a lot as a result of my job). I usually have a hard time finding healthy dishes that are also delicious, but you can definitely find that at the Samosa Factory. I actually took my mom to eat here when she was visiting us in Vegas and she was surprised by good the food was.
This is definitely not your typical buffet fare. (In fact, there is no buffet available.) If you think all Indian food tastes the same, then you should give this place a try. I would recommend the spinach curry, any of the kormas and the chicken tikka masala. The freshness of the food, carefully prepared, and personalized service definitely set this restaurant apart.
This is a small restaurant and there are some Indian restaurants in Vegas that have a more expansive menu, but the food is usually not this consistently good. I was actually in Vegas for a while before I discovered this place. It's unassuming exterior in a Strip Mall contributes to it being an undiscovered jem. Also, its namesake, the samosas, are nothing special and I would not judge the rest of the menu based on it.
I have a hard time trusting reviews on the Internet since most reviewers are not as picky as I am about Indian food. This is the first review I've felt compelled to write!
Pros: Delicious food, fresh and relatively healthy, good service
Cons: Unassuming external Strip mall appearance, samosas are bland
