Worst restaurant in the entire city of Atlanta! 10/10/2005

I chose this place because I had a couple of friends in town from California. To my disappointment the wait to be seated was 25 minutes, the food was mediocre and our waitress was wretched. We never received any type of rolls or bread with our dinner. We asked for fresh grated parmesean cheese, of which they did not have. This is not a fine dining restaurant at all. It needs to be re-classed as a half attempt spot for some ok jazz. Pros: valet Cons: everything else more

Worst dining Experience EVER! 9/28/2005

I took my fiance' here on Sunday and the service was terrible. We waited 45 minutes to be seated in a half full restaurant. The food was OK at best! I spent just over a hundred dollars for two people and left feeling very disappointed! To top it all off the waitress felt it necessary to write her tip amount on our check! Never again! 9.1 my foot! I was insulted when the waitress brought the check,she had the amount that we should leave written on the check and gratutity not included circled. We had to wait 25mins to be seated and wait 30mins for a appetizer and another 40mins for dinner. Cons: BAD SERVICE more

Not a fine dinnig at all 9/11/2005

When i make a reservation, they say we can stay max 2 hours due to entertainmet which is understandable. We ordered after we received our drink (about 10 mins), and we received our entre one hour and 30 mins later. I took my friends there for a special occation and every one was upset b/c of slow and unreasonable bad services. It was the worst FINE DINNING expeirence. It is a joke for a 4 star dining. The entire crew should be retrained or replaced. I have to say we did not even receive proper greeting when we step out the car and walk in the restraunt. In average, only 1% of angry customer will take action. I have never gotten so upset to bother about writing a review. It was that bad. Cons: slow service more

Classy 8/31/2005

I see another reviewer had a bad night, but ours was quite the opposite. We had fantstic food, some fun drinks, and the music was fantastic. We were there on a Thursday night listening to Nick Longo. Smooth and jazzy. Food is a bit expensive, but it was pleasantly presented and flavorful. We'll be returning for another visit. worst place in buckhead 8/13/2005

We went to sambuca last night and it was terrible. Could you believe we were charged a cover fee of 10 bucks a person to get in? I was so upset, and then to top it off we were at the bar trying to make the most of the night, and the horrendous waitress asked my husband for his card in the most unprofessional manner,we were in shock- she basically said we could not drink the wine until she had the credit card in hand- it is the worst place i have been to thus far in buckhead,terrible is being nice to say the least. The music was really BAD, and if they call this a jazz club they are sadly mistaken- Save yourself the trouble, and don't go- In any case, i recommend sambuca to anyone who wants to be treated to a bad night out Cons: food, music, service more

What in the world? 2/25/2005

My husband took me here for my 25th birthday. The service was wonderful, and the food was incredible. We really enjoyed the jazz combo, and it would have been a wonderful night...EXCEPT the parking! When we arrived, we were not given the choice to self-park - it was valet only. OK, this is Buckhead, not a surprise. So, we valeted the car. However, in addition to paying a LOT for dinner and drinks, we were charged to use the valet! We were so angry, we will not be back! I agree that it was a little inappropriate for the waiter to have put on the check the amount his tip should be - that's a little tacky. Reservations don't mean much here 11/2/2003

We made reservations a few weeks ago for a special occasion. When we got to the restaurant we found out that it had been closed for a private party. Some ""big celebrity"" had rented out the restaurant at the last minute. Sambuca tried to call to cancel our reservations, but had taken down the phone number wrong. To their credit, they did give us a gift certificate for a free meal. However it was terribly inconvenient and in my opinion unprofessional. Sambuca was sooo great. We got a great seat, and they took care of our reservations. My date and I had the best food ever. His NY Strip Steak was DELICIOUS and so was the Trout with Crawfish and Asparagus. The atmosphere is elegant, and the music is fun. The food is the best though, and I will be coming back very soon! I have to say that was the best night of my life.. i went for my anniversary dinner and it was the best. The food was wonderful, the service was wonderful, the music was great, the mood was beautiful and the drinks were off the chain.. i total would suggest this place for dinner.. but only during the week, bc the weekend is more of a club scene.. but it made my night... 20 stars for you..... Sultry sounds all around you 12/13/2002

Sambuca's is a great chill spot, the music was enjoying, relaxing, and has a superb atmosphere. If you are in town and have time, it is a MUST that you go. But, if you can please make reservations, or you will wait for while. Oh, and I can't forget about the food it was nothing but execellence. If possible it would help if you make reservations, because this place is on jam all the time. Which you really don't notice because of the great music!!! more

Went for music and stayed for dinner: 12/3/2002

My friends and I going out on a Friday night decided to stop in Sambuca for some jazz before heading across the street for dinner. We were charged a $10 cover per person(not unusual in Buckhead) and we went in to the bar. After looking at their menu we decided to stay and have dinner there. After a small wait we were seated and enjoyed some of the best food and service we had experienced in a long time. To add to our delight we were also refunded our cover charge since we had dinner. Needless to say we will return and bring more friends. I work in a large steakhouse near CNN (steaks that sizzle) and I wish that all of our guests received the same service that we received that night at Sambuca Pros: atmosphere, service, food more

Big Price for Little 11/30/2002

I went here with friends. Terrible. I will never go back. When entering, some of us were charged $10/head. Some others were let in for free. What is that? I complained and was given some free passes. Oh, woop dee doo. Screw us once. Give us some free passes so they can screw us again. The atmosphere was good. Delicious Food! 8/24/2002

The food and drinks are superb. There is live jazz, which could be better, but maybe it was just bad that night. The ambiance is great! Recommended for a special event. more
