Samaritans Purse

The primary outreach that I am familiar with from this organization is a project called Operation Christmas Child. With this project, you simply fill a shoe box with a few toys and basic hygiene needs and maybe even a picture of you or your children with a letter to the child from your child. I have heard of people getting letters back in response. The hope and good will that this gives to those who receive these simple acts of kindness is hard to explain. Every year, Samaritan's Purse brings hope and joy to a multitude of children through Operation Christmas Child. Check out the link above and bring hope and joy to a child in need. We do this every year with our children and it is an awesome opportunity for us to show our children how blessed we truly are and how to reach out to others. All you need to do is fill a shoe box with a few toys and school supplies you can easily obtain at your local dollar store. Fill a box, be a blessing. more
