Nothing really special about this place. The BBQ sauce tasted like oh so many based on the store brand ""Open Pit"", which while I like it just fine is nothing special. The chicken I had was delicious and I would totally get it again, but the ribs were entirely unenjoyable. The ribs were overcooked, burnt, dry and just not meaty. I also ordered the mashed potatoes which weren't entirely to my liking because they were ""homestyle"" aka lumpy :P and I'm not a big fan of that, plus the gravy was not to my liking, I can see how someone else might like them however. The corn on the cob was overcooked and waterlogged. The corn muffin however was completely redoable.
All in all I'd have to say no where near the best BBQ I've ever had, but no one really comes close to the Salt Lick BBQ in Texas (although this one seems to be trying to live off the name similarity there is nothing to compare here).
I'd say as long as you aren't looking for award winning food, it's not bad. I would go there again myself, maybe. But I'd get the chicken and choose different side dishes.
Pros: great chicken
Cons: very unspecial ""Open Pit"" tasting BBQ sauce
