over priced non mexican food . the enchiladas were dry as they were made 2 weeks ago, the chips were burned and salsa was good but salty and watery.\r the sitting dough was quick.\r the food was very very very bad. carne quisada had a very big lump burned dry meat in it.\r i will never return again to that place.\r i visited salsalitos to take my son that just returned from iraq so he can have a taste of real mexican food but what a very big mistake i made i rather take him to taco cabana they have better food. Quick seating, hot hostesses, light crispy chips, wam smokey salsa, very kid friendly, gets noisy, great (although overpriced queso) excellent (and consistent) beef fajita meat, above average charro beans, fresh pico/guac, fantastic bar drinks, oh..and you can add bacon wrapped grilled shrimp, which are served with a cilantro sauce that you will want to drink. Wait staff (lots of hotties!) very attentive and on top of it. Actually very reasonably priced. Even when my folks come to visit from Florida, they always plan a trip to Sausalito. The next best thing to Pappasito's, but half the price, and rarely a wait (except on Fri-Sat nights). Pros: Fajitas, chips/salsa, very fresh, great wait staff, 20+ visits, no complaints. This is a great restaurant for family gatherings or date nights....the food is great! Wait staff are pleasant and helpful. I recommend the grilled chicken in Cilantro cream sauce: OH MY GOSH! There's something about that sauce, it tastes great...oh and I almost forgot to mention the chips and salsa...the salsa is wonderful and compares to home made salsa...GREAT JOB! I have been waiting for a restaurant like this in San Antonio--we should be known for our great Mexican food and I feel Salsalito's does just that...now if I could only get a location around LaCantera! This place has it all. The salsa, tortillas, enchiladas, and best of all, they get their smoked chicked from New Braunfels Smokehouse, then they cover it in a butter caper cream sauce.. Oh my God. The taco salad is also pretty good. It all depends on your tastes, they have something for everybody. I judge a good mexican restaurant by its chips and salsa immediatly served upon seating. You can pretty much count on this theory. If they arent up to par, then the rest of the experience will be the same. At Salsalito you will always be seated promptly and offered the tastiest crispy thin & still warm & tender mouthwatering chips! The salsa, well, it's is outta this world and they serve it heated! Its simply the best! I have found the food to very dependable, its always good. The service is pronto! My favorites are the enchiladas and the unltimate is the one served with the sourcream sauce. Simply to die for! They have a very nice happy hour for scrumptious margaritas. They are also worth mentioning! After you have been to the upscale restaurant in the neighborhood shopping center. You will love the down home prices and you will be back! I try other places but always come home to Salsalito! Great bargain lunches! Pros: Ambience, its very nice inside. This is a restaurant found in high traffic areas -- near malls and major shopping and entertainment areas. It is recommended. Not an authenticate mexican restaurant though. more

Hostess sat us very quickly--so quickly that we were about 5 seconds behind her. As we were sitting down fresh chips and salsa were placed on our table. Staff is very effecient. I ordered the chesse enchiladas--not very good--they use processed cheese for the filling, all the food was pretty bland. My husband had the burrito dinner with chicken fajita---but it wasn't seasoned tasted just like grilled chicken. more
