Very Friendly 9/10/2008

I got a cut by Billy yesterday and it was great, but the best part of my visit was he cured my headaches with a simple suggestion as he was shampooing me! I have a tendency to ask for unachievable styles for my hair type and Billy knew what would work and what wouldnt and I'm glad he didnt listen to me or I would have had a mess on my head. I wasn't too impressed 9/9/2008

I chose this salon because i heard good reviews & i'm new here. My hair stylist didn't listen to me. I told her I wanted a gradual layering instead I got a block of hair as if i had cut it myself. My philosopy is: if the hairdresser's hair is not well kept-dont expect anything sensational on your hair and guess what, her hair was a mess. Other than that she was polite and atmosphere was nice. At the end of the day you have to find someone who understands what you want. more

I went to this salon for about a year, and I still like a lot of things about it, but in the end I have decided to part ways. Pros: Environment, Haircuts usually good, Wine/Beer available for purchase Cons: Pushy sales tactics, Difficult to make an appointment for cut/color same night more

Keri Caldwell is one of the best hair stylists I have ever had. She listens to my desires and also keeps me up-to-date with current styles. She is one of the best hair colorists in the metroplex. She is good at visualizing a new style created to the shape of your face. She's attentive and interested in her customers. She will take the extra time to make you feel relaxed and pampered. Look no further. I highly recommend Keri to anyone looking for a stylist. more

Great stylist (Keri C), fun atmosphere, attentive customer service, love my hair, convenient to downtown office, free parking 8/15/2008

This was my first visit to Pompeo on McKinney. I had heard about the salon and Keri from someone whose hair I loved, her hair is a vibrant auburn (yep, natural redhead) and a hard color to get just right. Her hair always looks great and she highly recommended Keri. I went in wanting something short and spikey, but not too spikey, not too bizarre and easy to fix. She listened, she cut and I LOVE IT. I have not had to use anything other than my dryer which takes less than 5 minutes, some amazing paste product she recommended and it looks great and is so easy. Everyone at work noticed immediately and wanted to know if I colored it. We did not, the cut just brings out all my own natural highlights. I work downtown so this is great, go get beautified, have a drink and wait until all the traffic is gone and go home or go some place fun and eat. Parking was easy turn left (off McKinney) before Frankie's to covered free parking. Ride elevator to 1st floor. Thank you Keri. PS I love your hair....I'll be back. Very Satisfied!! 8/15/2008

Been looking for a superb hair salon in the uptown area. I like a very natural look and have a hard time finding someone to listen and do what I want. I was elated by the fact that Keri Caldwell listened, offered suggestions and I walked out with a very natural and yet noticeable highlight that I really liked. Have received many compliments. Will definitely be back to see Keri. I was also excited that they do waxing too, Andrea did a fantastic job on my facial needs. Overall - great experience - definitely 5 Stars!! more

Salon Pompeo has everything you could possibly ask for out of a salon from amazing stylist, great staff, cool vibe, drinks, natural looking spray tans, massages,waxing, and lets not forget about the wonderful facials! I am extremely beyond satisfied with Salon Pompeo services and staff. If you haven't checked them out be sure to stop in and make an appointment : ) I promise you wont be let down. more

i read all the reviews and instead of going for the walk in price i booked with a seasoned professional korina . she has been cutting hair at salon pompeo for 7 years and it shows SHE'S THE BEST.... she only cuts hair so she recommended able to color my hair...WHAT A TEAM!!!! just like everything else in life you get what you pay for!!! whats not to like... this place is soo cool... they serve wine and beer while you wait and everyone is super friendly.. i just called and got Keri for a cut and color and she was awesome... she also recommended other stylist if she was to busy next time (i am generally a last minute booker)... how nice was that!!!! This Salon has such a great enviornment all around and the people are just so pleasent! Pros: Friendly Staff and alcohol! more

I would love to recommend Pompeo and especially Lea, but then everyone would know my great hair secret and then she would be constantly booked and I would never get an appointment and then I would have all bad hair days again. more

Flawless Color 6/25/2008

Being new to Dallas I had no idea where to start. Thank God I found Salon Pompeo. I got the perfect touch up to my blonde highlights. The stylist did need to use a toner, however; at least she recognized that and I left with my usual natural-looking golden hues. I explained ahead of time that I only like very fine highlighting and she came through on that request as well as a simple trimming of my layers! I'd definitely recommend this place to a friend. (and a nice cool glass of pinot grigio while you are there!) Pros: Great Color, Friendly, Clean, good wine! Cons: Make sure you ask where the free garage is and do not pay to park across the street. more

Best Brazillian!! 6/19/2008

I just moved to Dallas from Cali and was looking for someone to give me an awesome yet painless (yes, it""s possible) brazillian wax and I has found the place. I had a mamosa while I waited and I was out of there in twenty minutes!! Ladies I highly recommend it!! Pros: Smooth as a baby's..... Cons: None so far more

I have been going to the same stylist for two years and I love her. She can do not only my cut but she also does color which makes it very convenient with my schedule. They also stay open late which is a huge plus. My particular stylist goes above and beyond to try to get her appointments in even if it means staying until 7pm. They offer deals on drinks so you can relax while you get treated. It's in a great location too! The only drawback is that it can be difficult to get an appointment if you call last minute... I have recommended Salon Pompeo to many friends and they have had great experiences as well. Pros: My stylist Cons: Not available easily as I would like but that's because she is great! more

Disappointed 6/8/2008

The color came out good but the cut, not so much. They hacked off my hair when I only asked for a little bit off. I don't know what stylists don't understand about ""don't cut too much."" I figured after all the good reviews, I would get what I wanted but again I'm left disappointed. I guess I will have to continue to try and find a stylist who will listen to what I want. It's a very nice salon, I wish I would have been more happy with the results. more

Superior Customer Service!!! 5/9/2008

My experience at Salon Pompe was absolutely excellent. I have never been to a Salon with such great customer service! The front desk was so nice and the put me with the best stylist named Kim, was so sweet. Kimwas definitely the stylist that my hair needed. I had such a bad experience with color at another salon in town and they fried my hair. Kim gave me a conditioning treatmeant and fixed my color! When I left Pompeo its like I had a whole new head of hair. My color was so beautiful and my hair felt like silk!
