I live in Las Vegas, originally from Worcester. A while back I was home for an extended stay, and needed my hair done. I am very particular about my hair and I bravely made an appointment at this lovely salon...simply because it was so beautifully done...I have had my hair worked on in New York, Los Angles and currently Las Vegas...and there is not a stylist who has done a better job than this gal....the cut, the color was fantastic! Work like this does not come cheap, but one should never cut corners on one's personal crown! more

I visited this salon for the first time yesterday and haven't stopped smiling since. Based on other stunning reviews I decided to drive the 1 1/2 hours from my hometown for a haircut and color. I was absolutely thrilled with the experience, color and cut. The salon is chic, lovely and upscale--and not at all pretentious. Nina and Kevin are a wonderful team and I felt very welcome and at ease from the moment I arrived. Nina asked me detailed questions about the style and color I was looking for and listened attentively as I answered. She thoroughly explained different options and offered suggestions. I have curly hair and have had bad experiences with other salons, but not here! I asked her to color, cut and style it the way she thought was best and I was thrilled with the results. She cut 10"" off my hair and gave me lovely balayage highlights; she explained each step and consistently checked in with me to see if I liked the effects on my hair. I couldn't help admiring my new style in my rear view mirror all the way home! I feel fantastic and have already received many, many compliments. I can't wait to go back! Don't waste any time in scheduling an appointment. Your experience will be wonderful and your only regret will be that you didn't discover this salon sooner! more

Having not cut my hair for over three years, I was in dire need of a new look. I cried with joy after my makeover with Nina. In addition to the incredible cut and color, the experience at Nina Raffaella made me feel like I was “at home.”\r \r They offer TOP of the line service (Newbury Street/Manhattan) without the pretentiousness. The entire staff is wonderful; the atmosphere is beautiful, relaxing, and incredibly elegant.\r \r This is best the hair cut I have ever had. Bear in mind I lived in Manhattan for six years and have been TRYING in VAIN to find a stylist on Newbury Street for the past 7 years.\r \r RUN don't walk to see Nina and her staff. Nina Raffaella is a consummate visual artist with hair. She is sincere, modest and very considerate. She takes her time to give you the best color and haircut that she can. I've been to salons in NYC, Newbury Street and Cambridge. I've been to at least a dozen places in Worcester too. I wanted a premium haircut and color and that's what I received. It is well worth the cost--in fact, there is great value because the salon is very restful, beautifully decorated in a minimal aesthetic, very clean and the support staff are cordial and good at their jobs. Nina takes her time, is gifted at what she does. And she's also a really nice person. I'm going to return for sure because this kind of haircut makes me feel attractive and well-cared for. I have been a customer for almost a year and I was thrilled with the service and cut at my first visit. Over time, Nina suggested variations in color that were lovely and, most recently, a change in style. Since I have had my hair cut and colored there, I have received so many compliments. The change Nina suggested this last time is nothing short of amazing. I feel as though I have had a complete make over with just one haircut. Every day since that cut, someone has remarked on how pretty my hair is, or how it suits me so well. I have gone to Boston and New York, hoping for this kind of experience and found it here in Worcester! Nina is charming and a genius with color and cut. I have been to every salon in the city. First time at this salon. It is a pearl in an oyster. The oyster being Green St. Nina was precise and methodical in the cut she gave me. She is humble and talented. I wanted the kind of cut I would never have to comb and I got it. You know you got a good cut when they are blow drying your hair all over the place and it still looks good. It is was a tasteful experience opposed to the run of the mill chop shops. I would highly recommend this salon if you want high end experience and highly skilled technique. Nina is just lovely! Thank you. more

Curly? Straight? Wavy? Color??? Stylistic and color perfection.... It is with meticulous care for each individual ...that is Nina. It is with pride that I write this review. It has taken me a lifetime to find a professional, quality stylist and colorist. Salon Nina Raffaella is by far an asset to Worcester. Better still...it is probably better than Newbury Street salons ( considering all the variables). \r \r From one's first step into the ""meticulous"" salon, one is charmed by the personal care. The atmosphere is ""O! Paris""---relaxing (music, quiet, peace), eye-catching clean ( the allure of white, mirrors, dramatic ceilings and windows), caring ( ""What would you like to drink?"" ""Magazine?""). Every person at the salon is absolutely professional and attentive.\r \r My salon experience is with Nina. To begin with my hair is very curly and frizzy. Having researched for products, plans, procedures, equipment...and years and years of advice, hairdressers, and major disappointments...what to do??Color??or not?? What color?? Should the hair be short? long? \r \r Then ...I found Nina! Nina spent time explaining, talking, and teaching about my type of curly hair...She explained the best style and length...Nina matched my hair color with my eyes and skin...she brought life to my hair! I have been going to Salon Nina Raffaella for almost a year. I grew up in a family of hairstylists who have styled my hair for many years, and who have seen many disasters occur as the result of me trying someone new in the area - - and I have been everywhere!!!\r \r Nina does my hair and I have to say that after going to her, this is the first time any of my family members have loved the way my hair has looked! Nina takes her time, explains everything she is going to do and is so extremely precise with her cuts. \r \r I have curly hair which I style straight. I have never been able to find someone who has been able to cut my hair so it falls right into place when styled straight or curly - -until now!! Nina is fabulous and I highly recommend her to anyone who wants a wonderful cut and wants to find someone they trust with their hair. What a great salon!! Millie did my color, cut and foil. I can't tell you how happy I am. She has to be the first hairdresser I have gone to that did exactly what I asked and the results surpassed all my expectations. Great salon very comfortable and beautiful inside. This salon is incredible. Not only is the atmosphere very chic and professional, the stylists are absolutely exceptional. Tony was my stylist, and he took as much time as he needed to perfect my cut and style. Never have I EVER had someone who was such a perfectionist (great thing!) who cared so much to send me out of the salon looking like a million bucks (for SO much less!). He sat me down and discussed exactly what I wanted to have done, and if I was unsure of something I wanted or was trying to explain, it was like he knew exactly what I wanted before I did. It was obvious he took pride in his work and making people 100% satisfied. The price was minimal-$35 without tip- and similar to other prices of other salons who were less attentive, thorough, and dedicated to making sure the customer is 110% happy with what they paid for. The cut and style was worth so much more, certainly the best value hair cut in Worcester and surrounding areas! Thank you, Tony , for being such an all around amazing stylist, I will be back as soon as I return from studying abroad! Pros: EVERYTHING! Service, styling, attitudes, products... I had a bad experience a different salon earlier this year. I went to Nina hoping she could fix the mess I had. She did! She takes her time to listen to exactly what you want- and if she suggests something- listen! She really knows what she is doing. Tony is fantastic, too. The space is very large, bright, and clean. I have been to Paul Conzo, St. Cyr, and Tu Moda, and Nina's Salon kicks all their butts. Pros: Great atmosphere, color, & cuts more

I went in for my very first appointment last week and am so glad I chose Nina's salon. In the past I have had my hair done with ""ok"" results and didn't really complain because my hair is not easy to manage (or so I thought). Then I met Tony lol. First of all, I have extremely long, thick and curly hair which is like taming a lion when trying to style.\r \r Tony was very attentive and asked questions about my styling needs. Not only did he explain what cut was best for my facial frame but also asked what kind of impression I wanted to make at work. Tony is so talented and definitely skilled. My cut has gotten rave reviews at work. Everyone was so impressed and said I looked so sophisticated and professioal. \r \r Thanks Tony and I'll see you again soon! I have been searching for a competent salon in Worcester for at least 5 years now, and my search is finally over. I had been burnt by many, adequate at best, salons in the worcester area not knowing how to manage my thick, long hair. After reading a review about Tony, I decided to try him out since his prices are very reasonable. He turned out to be quite a talented, up-and-coming stylist, with amazing ideas and a great vision for hair. He focuses on the facial features, giving you the right style to bring out your best features which, therefore; brings out your overall beauty. He was very amiable and asked all the right questions. I had tremendously long, thick, brown/black hair. I was very weary of shorter-length hairstyles. He suggested a shorter style, I went with it, and the compliments about my hair won't stop! It is the best haircut I have ever had! He has a good eye and knew that a shorter, modern cut would work for my face. (But don't get me wrong, if i wanted to keep it long, he would've happliy done a trim as well.) He has an amazing talent and I will be going back to Tony for all my cuts from now on. I recommend him to all who want a magnificent haircut. The Salon itself is very modern and chic, but not pretentous or uninviting. The staff is very courteous and surprisingly accomodating. Nina has done an execellent job of bringing Newbury Street into the heart of Worcester. One feels pampered and luxurious while experiencing the upscale services of this salon. If you are looking for the best haircut you have ever had, see Tony! You will not regret it. And, if you are looking for the upscale Newbury St atmosphere with the high-end quality of haircut/hairstyling, Salon Nina Raffaella is definitely the one for you! In my 10 years living in Worcester County and trying many high priced salons, Nina is by far the best hair cutter and stylist in the region and also the best hairdresser I have had in my life! She is skilled in cutting curly hair, will work with the hair not against it in creating a style, gives great advice about the style and fashion to suit your face, and is also extremely skilled at coloring. The salon is beautifully decorated. The area it is located in is in transition and the building is rather empty and quiet. Due to the recession not much transforming is taking place now. But in time the area should be nicely renovated and the parking situation (street metered parking right now) should be improved. I have been a few times now for a hair cut and color and I could not be happier with Nina for all my hair styling requirements. Pros: amazing cut, stylish salon Cons: rather pricey more

I am a college student and I was previously seeing the same hairstylist faithfully for a few years. I recently found out that he (Tony) moved on and is now working at Nina Raffaella. Yesterday, I went in to get my hair cut/colored by Tony. As usual, he did an exceptional job dying my hair to a beautiful, natural, sophisticated blonde as well as cutting the dead ends/fixing the overall shape! Tony's prices as well as the salon's overall prices are well worth the experience and results!! I could not be more pleased with the service of Nina Raffaella! I was so excited to find a salon in Worcester that offered Kerastase products, so I decided to try it for a badly needed cut instead of driving to Wellesley, where I normally would go. This salon is wonderful; the service was unbelievable and Nina gives an amazing cut. She didn't rush through the appointment at all and paid careful attention to ensure the cut was perfect. I couldn't have been happier. She recommended products without trying to force a sale (which, honestly, I will probably buy on my next visit) and was very friendly and attentive. I have naturally curly hair that I blowdry straight a few times a week and I find that more often than not, stylists don't know how to give a good blowout, even when you are paying a premium for it. Nina gave me a perfect blowout. I can't wait to go back in 8 weeks for a trim and color. \r The salon itself is gorgeous and a giant step up from other locations in Worcester. It was easy to find and I parked right out front without a problem. I can't believe how lucky we are to have this salon in town. more

I have been in business in Worcester for over 25 years, and have visited every salon possible in Town.\r We you arrive at Nina's it's very inviting and professional. The Salon is located in a converted\r mattress factory which has a great look to it also. The Staff at Nina's are very warm and cordial, as well\r as very attentive to the customers needs, they pay attention to every detail that you could imagine in a Salon. I feel compelled to write because I LOVE this salon. I have colored, really super curly caucasian hair that I have struggled with my entire life. I used to go to Newbury Street in Boston but two years ago I started working locally at a Worcester college and Boston was just too far.\r \r I tried all of the ""big name"" Worcester salon's and they were all fine, but really not great. I stumbled upon Nina at Salon Nina Raffaella early this summer and I feel as though I have struck GOLD. Nina is an incredible colorist and stylist. I have had more compliments on my hair over the past few months- than I had over the past two (2) years!\r \r I have been back twice and both times Nina and the staff at the salon were very warm and welcoming. Nina spends the extra time to make sure your cut and color are just perfect. She has a great eye! The salon itself is gorgeous- when you walk through the door, you feel like you have been transported to South Beach. Very cool.\r \r I can't say enough- I highly recommend this salon! more
