I first was introduced to Tim's mastery while watching him style a young girls hair for a what looked like a pretty special event. I was surprised at how chic, sxy yet stylish and contemporary it was. It didn't look prom-like or beauty pageanty, it was just what you would see on the red carpet - Pro. I had to know more. My bff stumbled upon his chair and after i saw the great styln' he gave back to her looks and the amazing Japanese straightening he did i had to try Tim for myself. I was stunned to find him actually listening and caring enough to consider my personal style preference (sxy, flowy, little rocker) and also the possibilities my hair could actually attain. he didn't hear one thing and do another thing on my hair (ladies u know what i mean?). I will die if he ever leaves town. I am 28 and finally found my stylist! I have introduced all my friends, family and neighbors to him and they all adore him. he understands cool, chic, modern flair and edge! I originally came to this salon when it was Kenneth George because I followed my former stylist here. I was THRILLED after my first cut with Tim Ou (my former stylist left the biz and recommended him). Tim is EXTREMELY talented with cuts and blowouts. He is the best I've ever been to in L.A. for blowouts, and he really listens for what you want and creates it! It's like magic watching him work! I trust him with my color too. I recommmend seeing him before Hollywood snatches him away and he no longer works with the common folk.... and for such reasonable prices. The atmosphere is hip and fun without the stressed out - overbooked - rushing vibe. Also, Gabriel rocks for brow threading!! more

I've been going to Tim Ou at Salon Nesou for over 2 years now and couldn't be happier. I am one of those people that has been plagued my whole life by bad haircuts and disappointing ""new looks"". Once I found Tim, I knew I was in the right place. He gave me the perfect cut and has done a fabulous job on my forays into color. He even did a terrific updo for my wedding and it looked gorgeous. The salon itself is also great. Spacious, modern with a hip, calming atmosphere and very friendly staff. Highly recommended! more

So I've been looking for a good hair stylist for years since I moved out to Los Angeles from New York. I was seriously about to give up until one day when I randomly walked into Salon Nesou and long behold, I found the best hair stylist ever! Her name is Stephanie and she is amazing! First off, she listened to every stupid complaint I had and looked at every picture I had of what exactly I wanted my hair to look like. She not only did everything I asked, but the outcome of my hair was beyond beautiful! I didn't think it was possible, but I just found the best salon in Santa Monica!! I will never go to anyone else again. She is brilliant! AND besides the hair part, she is so friendly, funny, and you'll never have to worry about that awkward silence when you're sitting in the chair for so long. She is amazing. OMG!! I love Stephanie at Salon Nesou!!! She is the best stylist I have ever been to! I am so picky about my hair and she listened to EVERYTHING I needed and my hair has never looked more fabulous! I love her! Everyone must go see her!! She'll do anything you want and the best part is, there isn't anything she can't do! You will come out of Salon Nesou feeling so beautiful and confident. Tim Ou (hairstylist at NESOU) is a great hairstylist and colorist. I tend to be a very picky person with high standards. He is very conscientous and fun to be around. As a colorist, his end results is very natural and great. People compliment me all the time on my color and highlights. more

I was referred to Katie by one of her former stylist coworkers who used to do my hair, so I already knew she must be great since my previous stylist had worked with her for 3 years. I have totally flat, thin, mangy, limp hair and it is really tough to find someone who will work their magic to give me a good cut that is low maintenance. A friend of mine recommended I see Tim where he used to work (a place I should probably leave unnamed, but it is also a high end salon). I was immediately hooked. And when he moved over to Salon Nesou, I followed. He is totally fantastic at giving me a cut that works well with my hair and face. I never worry when I sit in his chair and just let him do what he thinks looks best. I have been getting my hair cut from Tim for about 2 years now and I have no regrets or any desire to go anywhere else. He?s my hairdresser and my therapist. I make it a point to have Tim cut my hair whenever I'm visiting Los Angeles. I completely trust his ability and judgement, and haven't had anything less than a great haircut yet. I just give him an idea of how i want it and then he cuts it according to my particular hair type and head size. And he's great at teaching me to care for my own hair. The last time I saw him, he styled my hair after cutting it to show me, then had me do it myself while he watched to make sure I did it right. He's the stylist for me whenever I'm in L.A. more

I have curly hair but always want the sleek look and feel of super straight hair. Tim is definately one expert in this field. He's done my hair staightening for the past three years and I cannot be more happy with him. He always lets me know why he uses certain products and follows up with me after treatment for results and comparison. My hair is straight and sleek and has earned me numerous compliments. more

Was visiting the area and I needed a do over. I am older now and my hair is tough to cut. Everyone at the salon were very helpful and Tim greeted me and he truely listened to me - made suggestions all good and in the end i got the greatest cut. I've been going to this place since it was Kenneth George. I'm reviewing a stylist, rather than the salon, because I haven't gone to anyone else here. So, without further ado, go see Ann Marie. She has been cutting my hair for awhile now, and I'm always very happy with the results. She does the classic long layered thing and edgy mod looks equally well, and I always end up with a flattering cut. She does my color, too, and has mastered my quick-fade hair so that the color stays rich between appointments. As far as the salon itself, I hope the new owner redecorates soon, as the interior is looking a little tired, but whatever - my hair looks good and that's enough for me.
