best salon! 3/5/2012

Stephanie Debenedictis has been my hair stylist and colorist at Salon Maffei for the past 8 years. I honestly have to say that I never have had a ""bad hair"" day upon leaving the salon. I have come to value her opinion in all matters that concern my hair. Also, she is a very caring and personable person. I can not imagine anyone but Stephanie taking care of my hair. I would also like to mention the staff at the Salon. They make a visit to the Salon very welcoming and you are also greeted with a smile. All in all, it is a wonderful and enjoyable experience. more

Best stylist in the world! 3/5/2012

Stephanie Debenedictis at Salon Maffei is a phenomenal stylist! When I first saw her almost ten years ago, she was able to rid me of my horrible bleached out highlights! I have been a loyal client ever since! I get compliments on my hair style and color to this day and have since referred numerous friends and family members to her! They are all just as pleased with her and the salon's atmosphere as I am! more

Stephanie DeBenedictis has been my hair stylist for over 6 years, and has transformed my highlighted blonde hair to look healthy and natural. I'm always getting compliments. Stephanie is very skilled at color and highlighting techniques, and her hair cuts are amazing. more

Stephanie has been coloring and cutting my hair for 6 years. She knows what looks good, and has the talent to make it happen. I get constant compliments on my haircut from my own clients, coworkers, and friends. Salon Maffei is pleasant, efficient, and filled with employees who work hard at catering to the needs of the clients. I highly recommend Stephanie and the team at Salon Maffei. more

Best Colorist/Stylist - Melody Mitrione 1/26/2012

I always had trouble finding someone who was willing to listen to my ideas on styles, colors and cuts that I was interested in. I would always end up unhappy and with just a trim. I finally went to Maffei's. The cliental their are simply the best and make you feel at home. And their stylest, Melody Mitrione, is simply the best. She listened to my ideas and gave honest opinions on what would look good, what wouldn't and also had some ideas of her own. After she highlighted and cut/styled my hair I just fell in love. The product they use is awesome!!!! So if you want some change please stop in this Salon and ask for Melody Mitrione. She is the only person I let touch my hair! I love this salon! more

BEST HAIR COLORIST! Nick Trombetta 1/1/2012

I just recently moved from Manahattan to White Plains. I read a review on the Westchester magazine for Best Hair Colorist of Westchester for 2011 and found Nick Trombetta, owner of Salon Maffei as the one. I made an appointment with the salon coordinator, who was ever so gracious. I got my hair done before New Year's Eve and was very concerned....going to a new salon is always traumatic for me:) When I arrived at the salon, I was greeted by Ronnie, who called an assistant who immediately made me comfortable, I was served coffee and greeted by several other stylists as well. (That was a first. Usually these types of salons have a very egotistic sense of themselves!) I already felt at home. Nick, came over with a big smile and introduced himself and escorted me to his chair. Our consultation lasted over 20 minutes! I knew I was with the right hair colorist immediately. He first asked me about what I did not like and than what my wishes were. He inspected my old color and made a few suggestions on some new changes. I am always reluctant to change, but his very detailed explanation made so much sense, that I decided to let him do his thing. He explained in every detail the do's and don'ts, and how hair color works and why certain things I had done in the past were incorrect. Nick took the time to give me every detail and impart his knowledge on how the outcome would be a success. In the end my hair color was smashing!! The result was beyond anything I had imagined! This is truly an amazing color master, and Salon Maffei is probably one of the best finds for me in White Plains! Nick Trombetta, a true master hair colorist and no doubt, the Best in Westchester....or anywhere I have ever been!.....Can't wail to follow up! more

Welcoming Experience! 11/13/2011

I have been going to the same salon in Manhattan for the past 5 years, but was not to happy with the last few appointments. I made the decision to look for a new hair colorist, that was reputable and would give me the experience I was desiring and the look I was envisioning. I searched and found Nick Trombetta, listed as the Best Colorist in Westchester. I made an appointment and it was the best decision I could have ever made. The staff was top notch professional and respectful and Nick's numerous years in the business has made him a artist in his own right when it comes to his profession. I highly recommend you visit Salon Maffei, you will agree it is a salon that listens to what you want and exceeds your expectation. more

BEST COLORIST EVER!!!! 11/11/2011

If you love walking out of a salon feeling like a movie star, then SALON MAFFEI is the place to go!!! From the moment you walk in, you feel like a star, like you are family, like you have been going there for years (whether its your first time, or 100th time). The staff makes you feel comfortable, warm, as if you are the only one in that salon! As you wait for the most AMAZING COLORIST, NICK TROMBETTA, you get excited! You are getting ready, because you know, as soon as NICK approaches, its all over!! That old gray, or that dull color, is gone... as he begin to apply HIS SPECIAL MIX! I never walk out of SALON MAFFEI wondering, what did I do... I walk out of SALON MAFFEI feeling BEAUTIFUL, SPECIAL!!! I love when people ask me... ""WOW, WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR HAIR DONE""... because, I love saying "" I KNOW, I LOOK BEAUTIFUL, DON'T I.... :) more

What an unforgettable experience!!! 11/11/2011

I love Salon Maffei!!! Everytime I go in there, I am welcomed by beautiful women who HAVE THE BEST HAIRCUTS AND COLORS EVER!! :) Not only is the service unbeatable, but Nick and his crew really know their stuff! I have been to Salon Maffei many times and every time I go out, I get asked ""where did you go to get that amazing color?!"" I tell them... ""The only place I will ever go to-- Salon Maffei!"" It's impossible to leave that place and NOT feel absolutely beautiful--that feeling is priceless. Thanks Salon Maffei-- Good job!!! more

Best Colorist Around 11/7/2011

Nick has been doing my hair for over 20 years. I went gray way too young, and Nick has been by my side, keeping me looking my real age, all these years, I don't know what I would do without him. Sure I admit it, every once in a while I get bored and try some one new, after all we didn't exchange vows - but in the end, I always come back, because Nick's skill can not be beat. If you like to be treated like family, this is the place to come, all of the stylists are excellent and most have been part of Salon Maffei since Nick opened his doors. If the employees are happy, it's likely that the customers are going to be happy too! This is a professional, no nonsense salon, with excellent services in a very comfortable environment. I don't think you will be disappointed. more

Hair Salon - Unsurpassed for Cut, Color and Client Svs 11/5/2011

Nick Trombetta, the owner of Salon Maffei, manages and runs his salon as a a top tier boutique, matching that of any large city. Yet the ultimate difference that keeps his clients coming back is his ability to proactively understand his customer, and only then, apply creative knowledge and expertise to meet/exceed his client's expectations. Cut and/or color. From a personal perspective, Nick has a passion for what he does, and utilizes his own internal perfectionism when working with every client. Then add a wicked sense of humor, and reasonable prices --- I am not sure what else one could ask for. The fact that he also teaches his craft to others with the same passion --- hoping to enhance their own skill sets through motivation, empowerment and experience, tells you a bit about the man behind the curtain. more

BEST HAIR SALON EVER!! 11/5/2011

You will be amazed from the minute you enter this establishment. First you are greeted by an amazing friendly staff! You are made extremely comfortable until your colorist or hairdresser is ready for you. They are very patient and extremely knowledgeable. I believe that Salon Maffei has probably some of the best hairdressers in the business. I highly recommend them and you will feel the same. I absolutely love my hair and my colorist is the top in his business !! more
