Hard to find ""Hair Talent"" 9/24/2010

Lisa Roach with Salon Lavonne - VERY TALENTED AND PROFESSIONAL. I recently relocated from Manhattan Beach, CA to Portland Metro area. I have had the same hair stylist for, no kidding, nearly 30 years. Started very young in the modeling industry and was her first ""hair model"". What fun that was! Being completely new to Portland, I had taken the time to interview many stylists associated with the top salons in the area-regardless of distance, and decided to work with Lisa. Good decision, as I am blond, blessed and cursed with beautiful, premature platinum gray hair. Hard to work with, but with talent and done right, the gray actually enchances the beauty of my blond color. Lisa not only ""did it right the first time"", but is a perfect replacement for taking on my challenges of creating the everchanging styles and color techniques that I throw at her everytime. more

David helped me love my hair again! 9/22/2010

I was so frustrated with my hair...then I found David! He is very talented and just an amazing person. He actually listens to my frustrations about my hair and I finally LOVE my hair! He is so talented with coloring and I get compliments all the time on my hair cut. I have wavy/frizzy hair and decided to try the Brazilian Blow-out that David suggested. I was NOT disappointed--my hair blow dries in half the time, has zero frizz, and styles with amazing ease. The shine and color of my hair is really gorgeous after getting the treatment. I definitely recommend David--you won't be disappointed! more

I have used several hair stylist at Salon Lavonne over the years and by far, Monica is the BEST. Of course Lavonne is awesome, but Monica has that 'something extra' I look for in a hair stylist. more

David is the BEST!!!! 8/19/2010

About a week ago, I did the unthinkable....chopped off me hair. I went into the salon terrified as a first time client. Within minutes, I was totally confident with David and trusted him to go ahead and style my hair with his suggestions. Not only did I leave with the best haircut of my life, but had a great time being there and chatting with him! The salon is adorable and carries all of the best products too! Thank you, thank you, thank you David!!!!! more

STEPHANIE.....THE BEST STYLIST EVER!!!!!!! 8/4/2010

Being new to the area, I checked out the city search reviews to find a hair stylist. I chose Stephanie because she got great recommendations. Having had my hair colored, cut and styled by Stephanie, I can attest to all those great reviews. She spent almost 3 hrs with me at my initial visit. She asked pertinent questions of me about my hair, and made excellent recommendations. I absolutely love the way it turned out! Even my husband remarked about how great it looked! Personally, Stephanie is professional, warm and friendly. She made me feel so at ease. Our conversation made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. Stop looking! You've found your stylist!!! more

I was referred to David & had just changed my stylist. I have fine hair, not easy to Highlight & david greeted me at the door, made me feel at ease & began to transform! Even though I was knowledgable about my hair , he told me so many things I didn't know, listened attentively & gave me many options AND Asked many questions! Not to mention he's adorable, fun and great to chat with! I left with great color, great products & a feeling of contentment! When your hair looks great - all is well with the world :-) I feel that I've found a little gem! Pros: Lovely Salon~Convenient~Easy to get an Appointment~ DAVID! Cons: Can't think of any! more

David is a magician! 6/6/2010

David Wright is simply fantastic!! He really knows his stuff, and gives me a fabulous haircut that is manageable the next day when I'm bumbling through it on my own, and for all the weeks afterward until my next appointment. David really listens to what you want and makes some great suggestions. He is also up on some amazing products- I am LOW maintenance and some mornings have found myself seriously considering wearing a brown paper bag over my head rather than giving up the extra ten minutes of sleep...so the product David recommended is VERY easy and is a total miracle. Added bonus: he is by far one of the most entertaining people you will ever meet and the belly laughs are a great stomach toner while you get a great cut!! RUN don't walk to see David Wright at Salon Lavonne!! more

Steph is simply the best! 5/14/2010

Stephanie Shanley has been my choice for more than 7 years! She'll help you get to where you want to be with your look. I can't even imagine letting anyone else do my color ever again. I trust her so much and she always knows what I need...from simpler styling to a warm heat pack or drink. :) She's simply the best. Take advantage of the rare opportunity right now when she is taking on a few new clients (971-344-8661). She doesn't like to juggle too many people so that she can always offer flexibility to her clients. Pros: Accomodating, personable, a pro! Cons: None! more

I have been seeing David Wright at Salon Lavonne for over a year now, and each visit has been terrific. What I like most about David is how well he listens. He listens to my likes, dislikes, and then gives me a cut and color each time that is amazing. I have curly hair, and he's done wonders for it! Pros: Attentive, listens well, great memory more

Michelle Layman... ya'll she is amazing! I have had dark hair, light hair, and everything in between and she gets it right EVERY time. Currently I am blonde she took me from a volume 2 (VERY VERY DARK) to blonde in only one sitting! If you like results right away, Michelle is your girl. Weather you are looking for red, black, brown, blonde, even plumb... Go see Michelle! She's also a pro at knowing what style will bring out your best features. Outstanding Hair Salon 4/16/2009

Lavonne is absolutely the best Hair Sylist I have ever been to. I explained to her how I wanted my hair cut and she cut it to perfection and then some.
