Lamia and her staff our wonderful. I came for help after getting very poor quality hair extensions. The glue on the extensions was so bad, Lamia had 3 other staff members helping remove them. Otherwise my hair would have been ruined. Lamia then gave me a great color and she put in new professional quality hair extensions. It's been about 8 weeks and these are the best extensions I have ever had. I also got the best hair cut from Lamia. I am a big fan. more

Edda's fantastic! 3/27/2009

If you're looking for a great stylist, Edda fits the bill! She has been styling my hair for the past few years and consistently does a great job. She has great ideas and has convinced me to try new styles that I may not have thought about before. She also works hard to make sure the experience of being at the salon is one to remember. I feel so relaxed from the moment I step into the salon and then for a good amount of time afterward. Pros: Great attention to detail, great listener more

Edda is the most bangin' stylist at Lamia. She has done my hair for years and always does the best stuff. she has a way of finding the most flattering cut - and making it happen. My recommendation is to let her work her magic, and don't get in the way. The woman has vision. Peace. -Arline more

Outstanding! 1/15/2009

Edda is a fantastic stylist! I was looking for a big change with my hair and she did a perfect job. Other salons just have basic cuts and no personality to them and I've always been afraid to change my hair at one of those places, but I gave Edda a brief description of what I was looking for and she had great confidence while cutting my hair and offered ideas and different styles that would work perfect with it. She always consulted with me before changing anything. ""Wow! That's the best haircut you have ever gotten!"" is what my best friend told me when she saw it. I would highly recommend Edda to ANYONE. She has a very outgoing and friendly personality which makes her incredibly easy to talk to when you're looking for a new style. LOVE IT! Pros: Nothing Better Cons: n/a more

?You?re haircut looks great!? I hear that all the time now, after years of trying out different stylists who could give me the casual/formal cut that I have been looking for. The truth is, I don?t really know what makes a good haircut, but Edda who works at Salon Lamia certainly does. Edda makes me feel at ease when I sit in her chair. What I like about the ?Edda? experience is that she isn?t just cutting hair, she is helping reflect the best of me. When I walk away, I feel like a new me is stepping out of the chair. I know that a great haircut doesn?t necessarily get you everything you want in life, but I have learned that people notice me more, and that makes a big difference. more

Edda Cuts are the Best! 7/16/2008

I have curly, wavy hair and have struggled most of my life to find someone who can give me the right cut. Well, I have found her at Salon Lamia. Edda Coscioni is such a talented hair dresser - her cuts are sassy, fun, yet professional. The best thing is she can even cut my wavy hair - a real challenge. People at the office say my hair looks great - and I can do it straight or curly now. I love coming to such a classy salon that is not overpriced to get a great cut. FRIZZY NO MORE!! 7/16/2008

Oh my God, if you could see the difference! I used to hate washing my hair. Why? 'Cause of my unruly, frizzy mop. Not anymore though, 'cause now that Lamia worked her magic. She gave me a Brizillian Straightener and all my problems are gone. No frizz, no unruly hair. It is beautiful, silky and shiney, and styling is just a snap now. No more battles in the bathroom. Yay!! I have been doing relaxers forever, and though they make my hair straight, they don't give me many options for color. A friend recommeded Lamia to me, and she did a Brazilian straightener. I love it, my hair is so smooth. And the shine... well it is just beautiful. I am excited too, because we are talking about options for color now, instead of always going dark, I will (once I cut off all the old relaxed hair) be able to do highlights. Lamia and her Amazing Brazilian Straightening!! 7/16/2008

Can I tell you... I never thought I could get my hair straightened, because I have highlighted my hair. So every stylist I ever worked with would tell me ""no, you will ruin your hair"". And then I would go home and spend hours dry and flat-ironing my hair. Until LAMIA! She has shown me the light. I came in and she did this all natural straightening on me last week -- a Brazilian -- and I LOVE IT!! My hair is beautiful, easy to style and shinier than ever. I feel like a new woman! Edda's magic hands 3/30/2008

Edda has the most incredible knack for seeing me from the inside out--sometimes it's almost like she's reading my mind. I am fairly open about results--I like to experiment and go beyond the norm of what I'm used to--and Edda helps me find that Inner self that I want to express, to take me to the next level in my personal image development. She is also great about recommending techniques for styling, products and follow up. She will see me and say, hey, try your curlers this way and then do this with the front--so she is like my guardian angel for my hair.\r Jennifer Pros: I'm a fan of Edda! more

Awesome cut, friendly stylist 3/28/2008

I have had Edda cut my hair twice (the first time when I cut all my hair-12 inches- off and donated it! And then again to go for a new short stlye) both of which I LOVED!!! She was attentive to what I wanted and we discussed what might look best based on her knowledge and my ideas. She was very friendly and I will definitely have her cut my hair again! more

Edda Coscioni moves to Salon Lamia!! 3/27/2008

I have been getting my hair cut with Edda Coscioni for 3 years, and have never once been disappointed. She has recently moved to Salon Lamia, which will be my new salon because I will follow Edda to any salon she chooses. Everytime I sit in her chair, I know I will be transformed, externally and internally. Unlike any stylist I have ever experienced, she has a purpose and mission to reflect the internal beauty of each of her clients. I have fun, feel refreshed, and have a hip haircut that no one else has when I leave her chair. I carry a stack of Edda's business cards in my purse because I get asked so frequently who cuts my hair. If you experience her even once, you will want to go back. more

EYEBROW THREADING 10/4/2007

i absolutely do NOt agree with the eyebrow review. I have been coming to see Jwan for my eyebrows for approxametly 2 years. she's fantastic. i havnt cheated on her ONCE!! i recommended about 9 of my girlfriends and even one of my male friends, who , when once finished called me right away to thank me because she was so great. i think you should give her a try and let her work speak for itself. The salon atmosphere is great, everyone is extremely friendly, and i would recommend to anyone no matter what gender to give it a go at salon lamia. i promise you will leave satisfied. Don't thread your eyebrows here 2/10/2007

The staff is wonderful, vvery courteous, but if you want to get your eyebrows threaded, I don;t recommend it. The lady who has supposedly been threading for over 5 years relies too much on the tweezers instead of threading. Well I've been getting my eyebrows done for about that long and i know a shoddily done job when I see one. I left feeling extremely dissatisfied. Pros: ambience Cons: shoddy threading more
