I feel that the front desk could be a little friendlier to the clients, you know the saying first impression count.

My daughter had her first ever salon appointment @ J. Michael's. She is 7 and they treated her so sweet. She has naturally curly hair and Michael gave my little princess the straight hair she has always wanted. Even if it only last a month, the joy he brought to my daughter is worth ever dime. **It is suppose to last almost a year. :)** more

WORST CUT EVER. 5/28/2012

Truly, the worst haircut I've ever received. Not only is one side longer than the other, but the hair is cut in uneven chunks. The part has to be perfect (a pain in the behind) so small tufts of longer hairs don't hang down over shorter hairs. I'm forced to wear one side tucked behind my ear so the different lengths aren't noticeable. And yes, I ask them to cut it again, which made it even worse. Maybe this salon is great with color, curly hair treatments, or blow-outs, but if you have long, straight hair, don't let them near you. more

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my hair! 10/15/2011

For the first time in my life I love my hair, I have a ton of naturally curly/frizzy hair and i have had Every ""straightener"" there is...Keratin, Brazilian Blow Out, Ionic...you name it I've had it! and none of them have actually worked for more than a few weeks, whatever ""cocktail"" he did on my hair is AWESOME! It dries straight and I do Nothing to it...no special shampoo, hairdryer, products, flat iron...nothing which is super nice after all of the money I've spent on crap that didn't work in the past. Overall I'm Very pleased with my hair and it is still straight 7 weeks after the treatment, I highly recommend Studio 8225 and Mike! more

Love my hair cut!!! 8/1/2011

My husband has some friends who told him about this salon and he put me onto it because I was having a problem with my hair cut at that time. I was told that they were an excellent salon so I made an appointment. I am so glad that I did because I love my hair cut now! I am able to wear it down which I haven't been able to do for quite some time. They also recommended a great shampoo and conditioner that is gentle to my hair and doesn't irritate my scalp like the one that I had been using. I'm so satisfied with my hair cut that I'm really looking forward to having my hair colored on my next appointment! more

Best salon ever! 5/9/2011

I have been going to them for over 15 years! My mom started taking me there when I was younger and I have never gone anywhere since. You will fall in love with the staff. They make you feel right at home and like you are family. The new salon is beautiful. They did a great job. As for hair goes! They do the best job around! I always get complemented on my highlights. Everyone there is very talented and up to date with new do's and techniques! I will never go anywhere else! more

I will never go anywhere else..... 5/2/2011

Mike has been cutting my hair for 30 yrs.....obviously I love him! I have also gone to him for highlights and bio ionic straightening. I can honestly say I have never been disappointed in his work. I constantly receive compliments on my hair and people always ask me what salon I use. I have recommended Mike and his wife Joni numerous times. In fact, one of my friends has become a regular customer of Joni's and says that she will never trust anyone but Joni to color her hair because it has been messed up too many times. Not only do they do an awesome job, but they are some of the nicest people you will meet. Their entire staff is excellent and the salon has a very welcoming feeling to it. more

The new Studio is Gorgeous!!! Totally different than any other salon I've ever been to, very quaint & personal. I love the fact that I don't feel like I'm just number to them...they are also Very good about doing discounts via Facebook & direct mail if you are a looking for a Great salon try them out!!! more

Amy Curl is the BEST!! 10/14/2008

I decided to write a review after my second visit with Amy. She has a unique way of foiling which gets all the way to the root and looks so great in the final result. I havent dealt with anyone else in the Salon but she pretty much takes the cake. She understood what I was trying to acheive with my style and cut my heair to perfection. I highly recommend this salon! Pros: Great price..was $115 for a partial highlight and a wetcut. Cons: There are none! more

Best Haircut Experience I've Ever Had! 7/25/2008

When I get a hair cut, there's usually some flaw I find with the cut, whether it be small or large, or somthing about the hair cut experience that was not comfortable, but when I got my hair cut at J. mikes...there was ABSOLUTELY nothing about the experience that was less than perfect, I told her what I wanted ( And What I said didn't even really make sense to me) and she did exactly what I wanted, she was friendly, but not too overly conversational, yet not to akwarkly quiet, the rest of the staff appeared nice as well....I was relaxed the entire time and COMPLETELY satisfied with the end result! GO see Amy Curl...she's amazing! Best hair cut experience I have ever had! ( and I know that is exptreme, but it's the total truth). :) more

Best Haircut I Have Ever Had! 5/23/2008

My hair is difficult to work with and I have never been able to find a stylist who knew the best way to cut it. I heard about Michael at Salon J. Michael from a few friends and decided to check him out. He seriously gave me the best cut and style I have ever had. The salon is beautiful and everyone was so friendly. Wow! Kudos to Michael at Salon J. Michael he has been cutting my super curly hair for 8 years now and I always love it-in fact no one else will ever touch my hair again! But he convinced me to chemically straighten my hair and all I have to say is It Is Beautiful and even Healthier than before, it actually moves in the wind and shines now! I had an excellent experience at this salon. Everyone was so nice! My appointment was with Stephanie, and I love what she did! I am usually very picky about my hair, and have had a hard time finding someone I like. I got high lights and a hair cut and they both look great. I have gotten so many compliments! talented TRUSTWORTHY stylists and great, friendly service. 12/27/2007

I've been to some of the best salons in the greater Atlanta area and have frequently been disappointed by bad hair cuts or cuts that were precise but just lacked any personality and movement. J Michael has saved me! These folks are trust worthy and talented. I'd have to disagree with the front dest comment as well. I've always had freindly and personal service. This salon is the best! Best Salon around 10/5/2007

I highly recommend this salon. I am going to have to diagree about the front desk being unfriendly..since the 10 years that I have been coming to this salon I have never come across an unfriendly or unknowledgable stylist. I have yet to find a greater salon with more talented hair dressers or stylists. Try it out for yourself, trust me you will be thanking me later! more
