I booked an appointment with Shawntel and asked her to cut my hair so I could have something conservative at work but also fun on the weekends and she did just that perfectly, she then showed me how to style it either way. I really like it and I have found someone who will be cutting my hair from now on. Pros: Great Stylist more

I have been going to Shawntel for about 2 years. I'm always impressed by her ability to interpret exactly what I want. Since I've been going to Shawntel, I've felt very confident asking her to try different styles and colors. Everything I've tried has worked out perfectly. I attribute this to Shawntel's attention to detail and her dedication to continued learning. I had been to Salon Fabu before for massages from Judy Coffee which are absolutly amazing so i thought I would try my luck at a hair cut. I was scheduled with Shawntel, she seemed to know what she was doing untill i over heard her ask a co-worker how to do the hair cut. The cut ended up being very chopy and not blended at all. On my way out I attempted to purchase product but the girl at the front desk was very unpleasant so I left and will not be back for any haircare services. I have seens Shawntel at the FABU Salon several time now, she is great. Makes suggestions on my cut, but listens to me, and my color is always great. I am so glad that I found her. Pros: Knows hair, I walk away loving my cut and color Cons: nothing more

This place is not clean at all, the girl who runs the front desk is rude and unpleasant. I will never go back and have told all of my friends and family the same more

I've been in more then a couple of times and truely enjoyed each experience.. I've seen ildy and Toby and been taken care of completely;) I have curly hair that I wear striaght and it has been very difficult to find a stylist who could create a cut that works both ways.. both are very talented.. I have never walked out unhappy and have been able to recreate the ""look"" that they have given me at home (because both have been very patient in explaining how to do it)... they both were sooo personable.. I would highly recommend Salon fabu.. and in addition they also sell other products like Sanitas skin care line... after you've been there once they will send you very nice coupons.. so thats an extra little perk... I got my eyebrows waxed by Carrilyn Hawes at Salon Fabu, she did an amazing job!\r It was very enjoyable. The space is comfortable, and put together. Everyone makes you feel very welcome. I would refer anyone and everyone. I also got my hair done by Ildiko. She is very experienced and does exceptional work. My hair was damaged and multi-colored. She took me in and made it perfect! more

I am new to the Denver area so had no idea where to go. My husband got a coupon book from his new employer and I found a few salons...Salon Fabu had the best reviews so I went to them. My stylist's name was Ildie and she was GREAT! She helped me with new products since my hair was getting super dry from the climate...she gave me highlights that helped tone down the old horrible ones I had and the hair cut was one of the best I ever had! She listened to me and actually gave some suggestions that I liked. I would recommend her to all of my friends (if I had many out here!). As I was leaving, the staff was also nice enough to give me recommendations on other things in my area...to a new person, this was HUGE. Very friendly and down to earth - I was worried about finding a snooty salon which is not my style. Overall, one of the best experiences I've had with a stylist in a long time! Look Ildie up...she has a ton of experience and is super easy to talk to! Pros: A stylist with experience and not pushy! Cons: I don't have any! more

Wonderful place. My daughter and I were having one of those days so we went to Salon Fabu for a pick me up. We were introduced to Hilde (sp?) she shared her humor and experience with us. I had a bad cut which she turned into a wonderful style my boyfriend hate short hair and he loved it and my daughter who hates to have her hair done because its thick and curley was amazed at what she did. She cut and straightened her hair and she looks like a different person its wonderful. We both left feeling great. Hilde has over 30 years experience doing hair and a wonderful personality. I highly recommended Salon Fabu and Hilde. What a turn around to a bad day. more

I tend to be pretty layed back about my hair. The one must for a salon is that they have flexible hours. Salon Fabu definitely meets my needs in this area. I often wait until the last minute and they have always been able to accomodate me. The stylists and staff are very friendly and helpful. I found everything to be very clean and efficient. Don't even think about going to this salon. It is dirtly and run down. The people are friendly however the mani/pedi was the worst I have ever had! Supplies are dirty - not sure how they clean their machines. No rhyme or reason to what they do - cancelled scheduled haircut when I saw that combs were not cleaned properly. Bad location too! I hadn't been to a salon in a while just because I was sick of getting my hair chopped or just getting what I didn't want. I finally decided it was time to try a new salon. I contacted a friend who referred me to Salon Fabu. I informed her that I was very skeptical about trying a new salon. She asured me that I would be fine. I met with Tyra and explained my feelings and exactly what I wanted in a cut. She cut my hair exactly the way I wanted!!! What a relief!! I will definitely let her do it again!! Maybe even a color next time:) \r \r The salon in general is a great atmosphere also. Each station is somewhat private and very spacious. I don't think there is anything you can't have done there!! :) I highly recommend the place:) more

What a great experience! Everyone that works there is friendly and helpful. Definitely not a snobby salon. Tyra did my cut and color. She was easy going and did a great job. When it comes to my hair I am what most would say ""picky"". I tend to find a stylist and stick with them for as long as I can. With all of the drive thru chop shops out there now a days. It is nice to be able to go somewhere and have the person you want cut your hair. My experience at Salon Fabu was just that Fabu. The stylist that cut my hair was Rachel, and she did an excellent job. When she was finished it was just what I asked for. A couple of weeks later I arranged another appointment for my girlfriend, my daughter, and myself. Needless to say Rachel once again did a great job, and was amazing with my daughter who is 4 years old, and had never had a hair cut before. Salon Fabu has everything you could want, and the personel to do it right. I have now found my new salon and my stylist. Pros: Fun People, Clean, Set Up, Availability Cons: Parking can be a little tight. more

I too needed a hair appointment the same day because I was headed out of town for a wedding. They were able to get me right in. The experience was wonderful. I walked in a few minutes early and they were able to take me right back to start my experience. Rachael worked with my hair. She was very thorough about products, cut, styling, color. She had amazing advice and information about products and styling. I now have wonderful shape to my hair , it looks fuller and healthier too. She really took her time blowing out my hair, and it was perfect all weekend for the wedding I attended. The price was perfect and I highly recommend this salon and will be going back. I am not the type of person to make a hair appointment 2 weeks in advance. I get a wild hair and want to go and at Salon Fabu they took me right in. They take appoinments and walk ins. I met with Rachael who does everything from color to cut and style to my nails. It was a fantastic experience and usually after a hair cut I have to go home and restyle it, not here. Rachael took the time to talk to me and listen to me and show me what she thought would look good and she was right. I have never gotten so many complements on my hair. It was nice to stay with the same person for the entire experience instead of being passed off for each item. I met the owner while I was there and the hospitality extended was above and beyond. Each stylist has a partially inclosed station for privacy. They are knowledgeable on all products, color, style, massage, facials, waxing, makeup, tanning, etc. They offer everything you need from your toes to your head. Next visit will include facial and massage a day of full pampering in ONE stop. I HIGHLY recommend Salon Fabu and Rachael she is a wonderful person and a great stylist and they are a wonderful salon with many talented stylist. Their prices are fantastic too! Which makes the experience you receive even more pleasurable. They have specials on Friday night called Happy Hour where you can get a special rates on salon services.
