Salon Etcetera

Ok...for all those who have looked for someone in the foothills who knows how to do color...THIS IS THE PLACE for YOU! \r \r ETCETERA has the most professional and expert color and hair stylists. \r \r I have been up here in these hills for over 35 years and have been to almost every place from Placerville to Roseville and had never found anyone who knew how to work with natural curly and colored hair. Well...I am here to tell you that I can now stop, because I have found the place and that place is ETCETERA! \r \r I went in to try to find a person who would be able to match a hair piece that my husband liked. When I arrived as a walked in just to check it our, they stopped what they were doing and checked out my hair piece and my own hair and together came up with a plan of action to make me happy. \r \r I set up an appointment that day as I really felt that this will finally be the place that knows how to do what I wanted, not what they wanted to do with my hair.\r \r When I arrived for that appointment, everyone was very nice...called me by name, offered me something to drink then off we went looking at the color book. Maye was an expert at matching colors and getting the blonde color that I really wanted, not the color that everyone else has. You know what I mean, you walk down the street and see a lot of girls with blonde hair and they all look the same color.\r \r I sat back and relaxed while off they went mixing up color for my hair. When they were ready...I saw 8 bowls of color! EXCTALY what I wanted, someone who knew how to do a multi-color weave, just not two or three colors, but EIGHT! \r \r WOW when Maye was done, my hair looked GREAT and all those colors blended in without looking like a skunk. You that have had bad weaves know what I am talking about. I am not a fan of skunk stripes and was very happy how my hair turned out.\r \r At ETCETERA, they work as a TEAM and I really mean TEAM! I made a fatal mistake when I got my hair cut at Salon Etcetera by Yelena because Yelena ruined my hair. She cut my hair too much and too short that I don't have much hair left. It would take years to grow it back. I am thinking to talk to a lawyer to sue her for the damages. more

I'm very particular with my hair so when I find a salon who knows how to create a look I'm going for, use the right product or technique, provide fabulous customer service and instinctive insight, it's tough for me to leave. On a whim I walked into Salon ETCETERA and immediately I liked the atmosphere and the service. Not only are the stylists friendly, but they take the time to listen to your concerns, ideas, and requests. They really listen and provide honest feedback. They take everything into consideration: shape of your face, style preference, products you use, texture of hair... everything. I've been loyal to the salon for the last 2 years and have recommended it to my family and friends, who've also been happy with their hair and enjoying their time in the chair! The stylists are easy to talk to and they make efforts to ensure their clients are comfortable. They've even offered to grab me some coffee when I had to be there for any length of time (depending on technique), water, or even a muffin from the bakery next door! I've recently enjoyed a cup of hot tea or two! Above and beyond my expectations and so appreciated! I've had some pretty quirky requests and I always walk out excited about the results! Megan is my stylist, but they work as a team and so I had the pleasure of getting to know all of the staff. This last trip Maye did the Ombrè Technique on my hair based on all of the concerns and requests I've given through time. She's forthright in her response even if it means you spend less. She's more concerned for the right outcome than she is about selling the ""latest and greatest"". I love that. I've never felt bullied or pressured into buying products. If and when they offer, I either do or don't buy and they don't press on. I love that, too. If you're unhappy with your style, they will make it right. They continue to train and educate themselves on styles, techniques, products, etc. I've had a facial, eyebrow waxing, and a consult with the esthetician. (This would all be part of the ETCETERA piece, of course!) I highly recommend you try Salon ETCETERA at least once. You may never want to leave... I know I don't. more
