Years of knowledge and great customer care 5/17/2012

I have been coming to Salon De Cordova for 10 years. I have had everything done from cut to color to extensions for my wedding. There is nothing they can't do when it comes to hair. Ben De Cordova's professionalism is consistent and innovative and that is why I am loyal customer. I am in the fashion industry and represent models. When my clients need an ""image makeover"" I send them to Salon De Cordova. more

Ben, the owner, is a true Artist. 3/24/2012

I have been searching for a new hair salon for many years since I moved to Tampa from LA. Although I found many mediocre ones (at best!!), I was never satisfied with their results, until I found Ben at Salon De Cordova. He takes his time, evaluates your individual hair ""issues"", and transforms your appearance into one you""ll love! Since he's being doing my hair, I get so many compliments on my hair and most of all, I love his work! more

I just got another GREAT men's haircut!!! 2/17/2012

I didn't think I could find a good place to get a men's haircut in Lutz, but I did. Ben De Cordova is truly an exceptional hair artist. First of all he does EVERYTHING by hand, no electric clippers just scissors and razor blades. He's also ambidextrous when it comes to cutting hair. That doesn't sound like much, but it's huge. He has a "" men's room "" with a comfortable chaise ""like"" chair. He uses this room for men's haircuts, seat massages, and facial shaving. He always gives me an exceptional haircut and I've never had to wait on him for more than 5 minutes from the time I show up. I will stay with him as long as he's in business. Thanks Ben!! more

Best Haircut Ever! 1/16/2012

Having recently moved to the Lutz area, I was looking for a new hairdresser. I learned about Salon de Cordoba by purchasing a Groupon for a haircut and massage. I can honestly say that the haircut that Ben gave me was one of the best I have ever received. I don't need to look for a hairdresser any longer. Ben's skills and artistry won me over after one haircut. more

I LOVE this salon!! 8/7/2011

I came to this salon with a Groupon. The reviews were amazing and I'm here to confirm them! Ben is true hair artist, as evidenced by his dozens of first place trophies and flowers made out of hair. I have always worn my hair long with layers, and I left with a shorter cut. I love it and went back to have him keep it this way!! Whenever I go I learn something new about how to care for my locks, and he even showed me what other hairdressers have been doing wrong with my particular type of hair. Ben has been doing this for decades and it really shows. I won't be needing to look anywhere else!! more

Having a bad haircut is every girl's worst nightmare!!! It's the reason why for two years since I migrated here in the US , I only had three haircuts from 3 different haircutters, and I always end up unsatisfied. Until I found Salon de Cordova on Groupon and I started reading about his reviews. I said to myself I'll give it a try and see if it's worth it...Before Mr. Cordova cuts my hair ,I told him what I want, what are the ""bad experiences"" I had with my hair and I specifically told him that I DON'T WANT rasor to be used in my hair.Lucky enough, I am glad that I gave myself a chance to let him take care of my hair .The outcome is exactly want I want it to be. Great job Mr. Ben Cordova, I am surely coming back and will highly recommend you! more

Definitely #1 5/4/2011

I was lucky enough to realize over 15 years ago that Ben De Cordova was truly a pioneer in his field. His passion for his work has been demonstrated through the hundreds of hairstyles he has given me. I had never been to any other hairstylist that used multiple techniques for one hair cut. By far the best hair stylist. Even when my hair cuts grow out the style is still evident, it does not get lost by the length. You will truly be amazed by his expertise! I guarantee you will never get a hair cut/style like his from anyone else. more

Awesome Salon 2/13/2011

I have live in the New Tampa area for over 15 years and this is by far the best salon experience I have ever had. Like many of Ben's clients, I have been to many of the top Salons in Tampa. I always left those salons feeling like like I paid way to much and sometimes my hair would look even worse than when I went in. Not a great feeling. more

I have lived in the Lutz area for 15 years, and have been to just about every salon in the area, until I found Ben De Cordova. He really listens to me, and gives me no-nonsense advice. I always walk out of his salon extremely satisfied. He is passionate and dedicated to his craft. I will never let anyone else touch my hair. more

Passion and Unparalleled Technical Expertise! 11/29/2010

Ben De Cordova is passionate about what he does, and it shows. He is sincerely the best hairdresser I have found in my 10 + years living in the Tampa area. His salon isn?t fancy and does not pretend to be. His prices are reasonable, and his dedication to his craft is endearing. I have been working with Ben for several months, trying to repair a body wave gone bad, that I had at another salon. I don?t believe you can get a better haircut anywhere, and wish I had found him years ago. more

Very Thankful 11/28/2010

I have been very thankful to have found Salon De Cordova and have Ben take care of my hair. I moved to Tampa in 2008 and have been to many, many so called upscale salons only to come away extremely disappointed with bad cuts, bad color, etc. I've lived all over the US and overseas as the wife of a military officer. During our years in service there have been only one or two stylists whose skills set them apart from all the rest...Ben is one of these stylists. more

Disappointed Again 11/26/2010

I saw the reviews about Salon De Cordova and took a chance. It was not good. Maybe he had an off day but I will not go back. It's just hair so it will grow out again but I was just sad because it took me awhile to grow my hair out after a bad experience months earlier at a different salon in town. I had the same stylist for years and he relocated and so I have been looking for another. I was hoping it was going to be Cordova but it will not. Thank you. more

Superb Hair Artist 10/29/2010

In my humble opinion the posting from Kjets3048 is so inconsistent to the other reviews. She must either have had a bad day or she is a person that you cannot please-no matter what. I am thankful I read all of the reviews. I am 55; you do the math as to how many haircuts I have had. And, they have all been just haircuts until my appointment with Ben. Kjets3048, Ben is a master at his art. He is not a stylist. I just had a cut 2 weeks ago from someone else and was extremely disappointed. She was just out of school and had no idea of how to work with hair--she just cut it. I witnessed techniques from Ben that I have NEVER seen. And, he doesn't turn you away from the mirror. You see everything. I asked questions and am 100% convinced he is the best hair artist I have seen. Kjets3048 does it really matter how often he works or not? He has enough expertise to warrant a short work week. And honestly, you are only insecure with own self-worth if you are threatened by a master hair artist talking about himself. Folks-don't walk-run to this salon. You be the judge-don't let one bad review stop you from getting the best hair experience of your life. All I have to do is look and feel my hair and I am forever a patron of Ben's. more

Ok Shea..the purpose of this forum is to give your opinion and I respect yours and your experiences. Mine was not pleasant and half of these postings are probably written by Ben or someone he has asked to write them. I stand by my statements below and I will reiterate that his haircut, styling or whatever you would like to call it is just ok. The short work week is probably because there are not enough of customers out in Lutz...lets face it, it's not Beverly Hills now Ben is it....lol...more like the Beverly HillBillies....lol....Good luck Ben ...I mean Shea and cut away...lol more

My hair was ""cooked"" by a high end salon! 6/3/2010

My hair was cooked by a ""high end"" salon. They ruined my color, had to strip it out, and then gave me a keratin treatment to try to fix it. Gasp. My hair was flat, dull, and crispy. Pros: Ben's talent Cons: It's not fancy more

Fantastic Stress Relief Massage 11/8/2009

I recently moved to the Lutz area, and was searching for a place to get a relaxing massage. I hit the jackpot when I walked in the door of Salon De Cordova! The personal service from Ben Cordova was excellent. The stress relief massage was the best I have ever experienced. It is wonderful to know that right here in my semi-rural area, I can have world class service. This salon experience is one that I highly recommend to everyone. more

I went to Salon De Cordova with NO IDEA what I wanted to do with my hair. I brought my twin sister along for support and to help me. I was thinking of every option from adding extensions (because my hair is short) to cutting it even shorter and coloring it. Pros: Best stylists in town! Cons: NONE. This place rocks more

Great Custom Cut by experienced Professionals! 4/30/2009

I felt right at home and very much relaxed from the minute I walked into the salon. Things got started with an incredible scalp massage during my shampoo. Ben did not just sit me down and cut my hair, he took his time, finding the off-center part in my hair and giving me my first symetrical hair cut in years! I have finally found a hair stylist that can cut long hair. He let me sample his amazing line of quality products and my hair has been more silky and shiny than ever before. He was able to keep length while giving my hair new life and more volume. I will never let another stylist near my hair! Ben and Zondra are amazing!
