I received the perfect color and cut at salon blue, I had actually brought in a picture from a magazine that depicted what style I wanted, and they delivered. I can't believe that this salon gets a 5 star rating. Because of the rating here I made an appointment for a haircut. I do have a hairdressor that I have seen for a couple of years but wanted to try and get someone closer to home. BIG MISTAKE. I knew the minute that I walked in that I was in trouble. I should have trusted my instincts and turned around. I felt like Edward Scissorhands was cutting my hair. Upon returning home, I could see how uneven my hair was. The right side was at least an inch longer than the left. I have big 1 inch differences in length all over my head. It's a mess. Maybe I am used to getting a good haircut. This was not one of them. I don't recommend this salon at all. If you want a bad haircut, this is your place. I will be driving the distance to my trusted hairdressor today to get my hair fixed. Cons: All more

I have gone to Salon-Blue Three times now, the first time was to get some corrective coloring done because I was just not happy with what my former stylist was doing for me. As you can tell by my headline I have come out extremely happy, Not only did she give me exactly what I wanted she went over everything with me to make sure what I wanted was doable. if you were to stand outside and look at the building, you would never think that one of the north shores best salons are right inside. I was a bit put back by the office type exterior but once I stepped inside I was happily surprised by how nice and charming the salon is. The entire place was extremely clean and I was made very comfortable while awaiting my appointment (good coffee!) The service I received could not have been better, It came out exactly how I wanted. I am from New York, working in Boston for a few months and was in need of some serious help with my hair. While looking around the area for a good salon, a friend recommended her favorite place on the north shore Salon-blue. This would work great for me because I am staying north of the city anyways. Let me just say that they are miracle workers. With very little input from me they colored, cut, and styled my hair perfectly. Better than I had ever gotten back in NY and I am sure better than any overpriced Newbury st salon could offer. I have been back a few times since then for manicures and pedicures and continue to be extremely happy with them. If you are looking for a seal of approval this is it! try them out. I have been searching all over for a beauty salon that I felt really comfortable in, and I have found it with Salon-Blue. I visited a few others in the area, and while they were not totally horrible, they just were not what I was looking for. On my first visit I got a cut and color and it came out fabulous.
