I was surprised to see anyone giving the salon negative comments. It's a really cute place with fun hairstylists. They have always done great work with me. They suggest things that really compliment me and you really can't beat their prices. I have been to some other places in Ashland that I did not care for because they were price gouging and the hairstylists did not seem confident or did not give me what I asked for. I've never had that problem at Salon 300. It's a really good find. Pros: Friendly staff, have latest products, good prices Cons: can't think of any more

All I can say is that everything in the shop is plastic, including the people. Too much looking in the mirror and not enough paying attention to the client. I went around the corner to get my hair fixed and that is a PROFESSIONAL spa. No comparrison to salon 300. The Paul Albert Salon and Spa is the place to go for all your hair needs.Salon 300 need to clean up their act and I mean CLEAN up. I went to Salon 300 and got my hair cut. A simple cut, just shaping. I left with my hair wet, went home, dried it to find it cut all uneven. I went back to the salon to have them fix it and they wanted to charge me again to have it fixed!!!! I went to another salon, they asked me if I had cut it myself!! If I wanted that kind of hair cut I would have gone to a less expensive salon with people right out of school. Although, I think a student would have done better!! Hair dresser spent too much time talking to other hairdressers and clients about movies and music she likes. Don't go there if you want a good cut!!! Pros: nothing Cons: That it is in business more

Recently I went to Salon 300 and had the owner of the shop(Pam) color my hair. I was very specific what I wanted. Since the coloring in my hair previously was red I explained I wanted it bleached out so my new color would not come out orange, or bronz...I wanted no red in the hair. (I wanted blonde). The OWNER proceeded to put the color in and then had to ask another person how long to leave me under the dryer! When I was finished my hair looked ok, since I left the shop with wet hair I didn't get a good look at what it was REALLY like. When my hair was dry my hair was multi-colored, brown, yellow, orange, red, blonde,and copper. I called the salon and asked for a refund. I was told, ""Because I did the work, we don't give refunds."" I have since found a professional salon that fixed my hair to the way I wanted it originally. It cost me more money, but now I know who will get my business and who to stay away from. DON'T go there for color!!!
