Suanne has been doing my hair for over 15 years. The styles and color of my hair have changed in a collaborative process between my wants and Suanne's knowledge of what will be best! She is professional but pleasant, a great listener and a fun personality. All of the staff at Salon 23 is welcoming and friendly, and the facility is clean, bright and buzzing with activity, conversations and laughter. I always have a good time and get a great hair cut. more

Family Friendly and Fabulous 2/4/2012

Suanne has been doing my hair for the past 20 years. She is the only person I trust to cut, color and style my hair. Now with 3 children Suanne is our family stylist. My teenage sons have grown up with Suanne cutting their hair. From buzz cuts to longer looks, Suanne can do it all. Great with the boy cuts and even better with the tweens. My daughter recently wanted a new hair look, at 12 my daughter couldn't articulate what she wanted but some how Suanne was able to understand and give her a cute she loves. I highly recommend Salon 23 West. Ask for Suanne, you'll love her work. more

MOSHE is best I've had! 9/18/2010

I've been to so many salons throughout Boston and the surrounding areas since I moved here 8 years ago but never had the satisfaction of Salon 23 and Moshe! Moshe does EXACTLY what I want him to do, even when I ask him to do something crazy and new, he does exactly what I would've wanted if I KNEW what I wanted! He is an artist who knows best about your hair. Plus when you're in the salon it's a great atmosphere which makes you feel comfortable and welcome. JLM more

Salon 23 West is a great salon.The staff is friendly and the place is spotless. Moshe is a very talented, creative and skilled hairstylist. GO AND CHECK IT OUT!!!!!! VGS more

I stumbled upon the salon while looking for a vendor of Schwarzkopf products. I had just moved to Boston, and was already addicted to their full line of shampoo and conditioners. I also needed a haircut, and I knew that Schwarzkopf was really picky about the salons where they distribute products--finding Salon 23 West was like hitting to birds with one stone.\r \r Unfortunately, I have not yet made it in for the trim, but I wanted to report that they were so nice in connecting me with my much-loved shampoo. I was really pleasantly surprised--while I love being pampered, it usually comes at the expense of feeling a bit overwhelmed. Great cut! 6/26/2009

I stopped by Salon 23 to get a quick haircut the other day and couldn't have been happier. I stopped in and they were able to take me right away. It's a very sharp looking salon but it's also pretty cool to sit above the main street while getting your hair cut and watch over. Harley did my cut and was a real cool guy who kept it simple and did exactly what I asked.\r \r Very exctited to have found my new spot! Pros: Everything you're looking for more

Beautiful, Clean Salon with Professional and Qualified Staff! 3/22/2007

I have seen Rita now twice at this salon. She is a master stylist and it shows. The first time she helped fix my awful haircut (that I received on Newbury St.). The second time was just recently and she cut and colored my hair. The color was just what I wanted! And for my cut she kept it simple as I asked. Unlike other hairdressers she listened to me, made suggestions, but in the end did what I wanted and not what she wanted. The salon itself is newly renovated and gorgeous. It's bright spacious and always very clean. The receptionists and other staff members were very friendly as well. I would highly recommend this salon! Plus its right in downtown Wellesley, so you can eat and shop when your done! Pros: Friendly, clean, and proffesional more
