I have had such a wonderful experience with Salmon Creek Cabinetry. I am wheelchair dependent and contacted Salmon Creek for a custom kitchen because I wanted a kitchen to accomodate my needs. The owner himself came out and gave me a bunch a wonderful idea's. From start to finish they were there every step of the way. They returned all of my phone calls and were always there when they said they would be. My kitchen was completed in less than 1 month and I couldn't be happier. He sketched out a floor plan so that I could visualize how it would all look. It was completeley cutom, with my cabinetry lowered to my level, with room to modify as needed for when I am ready to retire and move south. They were professional and cleaned up every night before they left. They did my plumbing, electrical, and even tile work for my backsplash. They really did it all and I am so happy with the way it turned out. I would recommend Salmon Creek to anyone of my friends or family. I am a contractor that specializes in remodeling and renovation and have extensive knowledge as to how cabinetry and other fine woodworking projects are planned and executed. Salmon Creek Cabinetry was contracted out by one of my clients to build a custom entry door for their home as well as all new custom cabinets for their kitchen. My problems with S.C.C. started right away when I was not provided adequate drawings for the cabinets. Only a hand drawn floor plan was provided (only drawings done. no elevations) making placement of wiring for lighting and plumbing nearly impossible. Repeated attempts for answers on lighting and other problems were not addressed. When the time came to install the cabinets, SCC came for 1 day. They told me they would be back the same week to finish the install. They did not come back for close to a month and left all their stuff unprotected in the middle of the jobsite. After the install was finally completed, there were numerous problems with the cabinets. Muttons that were supposed to be on the glass doors were not there. Snipe on solid drawerfronts. Improperly placed pulls. Nail hole left unfilled. Hooked styles and rails that made the doors and drawers fit poorly. Undersized depth for built in fridge cabs that left the fridge to far out. Granite countertops delayed almost 2 months because SCC forgot to place the order. I could go on and on. My customer also ordered a custom entry door. The door was delayed for almost 2 months before it was installed. The door was poorly machined so the lockset is crooked. Hinge holes were not predrilled so the face of the door split. The jambs were not wide enough to accomodate the thickess of the walls so extension jambs are needed. No weather stripping was installed at the threshold. My repeated attempts to contact SCC have been futile. I for one will never allow SCC on one of my jobsites again and I strongly urge you to do the same. Not worth the headaches. I have filed a formal complaint with the local BBB. more
