We've been dining at the cafe on a regular basis since they opened. They have great food, for a reasonable price with friendly service and tasty drinks! Pros: Quality, Value, Service are all great. Cons: Brief waits, street parking, not ideal for parties over 10. more

Great food but no take out 9/26/2006

Having moved to Malden a short time ago, my boyfriend and I are happy to have found this place. I read all the great reviews and decided to come here for dinner. The portions are very generous and the value for the food you get is by far one of the best. This past Monday, we had called for take out since it clearly says on this page (and many others) that they provide carry out and delivery. We were told that they don't do take out at all. For a very popular restaurant in a busy city like Malden, you'd think that take out and delivery was a service they can really benefit from! Its too bad they don't provide this because we really love the food, but can't spend the time to eat dinner here everytime we're craving Salem Wood. Also, we were told by our waitress the last time were there that we should print out the coupon on here, but its no where to be found! Great food-fresh cooked to order-unreal prices 4/3/2006

Food excellent - very fresh. Baked Haddock and Steak combo only 12.95 - huge portion. Service very good - with the coupon from this site - a steal... there is off street parking too. Great family atmosphere. more

Good, nothing exceptional 3/29/2006

Had haddock, shrimp $ scallops, girlfriend had soup. Reasonably good but not extraordinary. Ambiance is good for a family. One website provided a 25%off coupon, no problem using it, so the bill was pretty low. Service was fine. Pros: price more

Great Food, terrific value! 2/3/2006

The food was fresh - portions HUGE. Best Veal Marsala and Baked Haddock my wife an I have had. We dine out 2-3 times a week and this will be a regular stop for us. Family atmosphere. Cozy - and there is off street parking just next store (we didn't know about until the waitress told us.) Great COSMOPOLITANS HERE - THEY USE CONTREAU - NO CHEAP STUFF - and their prices are well below market price! (4.50?) Pros: Portions, Quality, Service Cons: Better Signage, More Lights Outside more
